how do you reckon Cals will be more physical??
they have 3-4 tall players,Holycross would be way more physical IMO
saying that i think Cals will win
will Pikes game be off also due to the FAI
No our game goes ahead as planned.
Tonight's Friendly
Hill Celtic 1-1 Pike B
Not a very good game this, the pitch was soggy and neither team played great football. We were full strength bar 2 players and went 1 up with ten to go through the only real good move we created. Jonathon Mc Carthy with the easy task of tapping in from 5 yards. Hill Celtic were awarded a free on the edge of our box with two minutes left. Anthony Mc Cormac made our keeper touch it over and from the resultant corner they bundled the ball over. On the night a draw was about fair. Good work out for both teams. Thanks a million to the Hill Celtic lads.
looks like ideal conditions for sunday morning chaps . about time this div got a break . the league table beginning to get very tight in all positions . fancy pike and coonagh for 3 points .

great win for caherdavin . must say i didnt see that coming . very disapointing pike performance yesterday . we just couldnt get the better of a handy shelborne team . a goal fest for any body watching from the sideline .
yea pikes best hope now would be promotion . its impossible to predict a league winner . tightest division in town .

Murroe 1 Cals 0. I live in Murroe so went along to watch the game.
Murroe big physical team and took the lead after about 30 minutes. However, for the rest of the game Cals were camped in Murroe's half but could't score. To be honest, Murroe's keeper did'nt have to deal with. Great win for Murroe considering they did'nt have the ball for about an hour and will be a tough side to beat at home. Cals played some lovely stuff but lacked a finish. Still reckon they'll be there or ther abouts come end of the season though.
Hi all.
New fella to the site, but looking at the results so far in the leage, is this not what the table looks like? I might be wrong about Park though.

Well, just from looking back on this thread, it looks like Cals have played 6 games- they have won 2 lost 2 and drawn 2- and would be on 8 points no? I think Fairview and Knockainey have only played 5??
Murroe v Cals
As pegleg said murroe went ahead in first half with a well taken goal,
but Cals dominated possession from then on without producing any clear cut chances. Murroe probably looked more dangerous on the break to be fair.
Cals have a few tall players without being that good in the air. Had a few corners frees etc without getting any efforts on goal.
Great wins for caherdavin and shelbourne, puts them back in the mix again.
To answer the quiet 1's question, keith O'Donnell is back playing with Caherdavin after a very bad injury and playing well too.(I think he may have played with Shelbourne last year)
Whoever looks after the limericksoccer site is doing an incredible job.
Must say Caherdavin played well on Sunday. Battled harder for every ball and the class of Fudge was a pleasure to watch. Took both his goals superbly, in particular the first. Coonagh second best to every ball. Turning out to be the same as last season for us with good performances one game and then brutal the next. We have only ourselves to blame, very poor in all areas.
