The Irish girls has qualified for the final on Saturday against Spain in Nyon in Switzerland when they beat Germany the winners of this competation for the last twice. Scored the winner 2 minutes before H.T. The final is expected to be shown live on Euroesport at 12.30 pm. This result means they qualify for the World U18's final to be played in Triidad and Tobago next September. What a boost for soccer in Mayo with Aillein Gilroy from Killala playing the full 90 minutes and ther was another girl from Salthill Devon from Galway

AVIVA/FAI Club of Month
Killala has won the Aviva/FAI club of the month for April and will travel up to Dublin on Wedensday to collect their award and go forward to the overal club of the year later this month, secound Mayo club to win this award after Manulla won the club of the year a no. of years ago. Our U19's lost out on penalties in the San Marino plate final
Would like to get everyone's thought on this decison,
We had a player sent off 2 weeks ago. It was harsh enough to be honest, nothing malicious about it at all. The player on the receiving end will tell you the exact same. 2 players going for the one ball and our player was fully committed and caught the player with his shoulder. Our player gets a straight red and this week gets a 5 MATCH BAN and a € 50.00 fine. What the f%$& is going in with the Mayo League!!!
What are other clubs receiving for suspensions?
I thought there was going to be a club meeting to address issues like the above. Did it happen yet? or will it. Or will the clubs just bend over and keep taking it.Quote:

Did the meeting happen heard nothing official so was not there any word on how many atended and report on it.
Apparently there was a meeting even though information on what was discussed is being kept very hush hush. Did anyone read the leagues response to this in the Mayo News! It was true to form to say the least.Quote:

Whern is the next delegate meeting if its nots for a month or more, is there a mecanism where the clubs can demand a meeting and bring this to a head. I finally got a run down on this club meeting that took place(only took me a week). It was apparently a very civil affair with all clubs in agreement that the 8 team division idea to be scraped, interestingly however is the fact that a number of clubs who attended this famed delegates meeting last year said that no vote took place to pass the motion so somebody is telling fibs on that one and no secretary can remember or find any notification of same prior to season kick off. Its not an 8 team super league thats the problen its each division they want 8 teams. Agree thats alot of what they have done over the years but a score board is a step too far, why dont they obey their own rules as i did not see any score board in Milebush last Sunday. It would be more in line if they got clubs to keep their surfaces in good order by having a competation for the best playing surfaces competation in each division and an overal prize. Their has been complaints on these forns abiut pitches in Mulranny and Ballyvary this season.

Is there any truth that the "connacht senior league" could be coming back? and maybe this is why the ML dont know if it will be 4 or 2 to go down out of the SL. for example if Ballina and westport or even erris were asked to join the CSL and they said yes and 4 were sent down from the SL it would make a mess of the whole thing. i think there waitin to see if the CSL will be set up for next season and if the maybe 3 mentioned teams above will enter before they say if its 2 or 4 goin down....
