Be better off now if the View an Knocka kept quite on here for a while and let there football do the talking instead of posting tripe that just gives us all a laugh.
Sipping down a few pints of Coors, over heard superstar Dean is on his way out of Village and back to MSL. That lad is laughable, switches clubs more than Tiger Woods. Good player but from watching him today he wants to be star of the show everything has to be through him and holds onto the ball to long. We all knew eventually that he would jump when the going gets tough, he will probably be back by January. As previously stated to many egos, Village will have to get back to basics they need some of their big players back ASAP. Anyone heading down to the Glebe in the morning? Should be a stroll in the park for the home side
Honestly taught they were two average teams not a great game and ref was very poor
Honesty appriciated , stay at home so in future. It's the Aul , grass roots football at it's best.
It was a local derby with a crowd I havnt seen at an Aul for a long long while .
Grattan Glenthorn league decider
few years back probably biggest crowd iv seen at an Aul game .
There's been senior games this weekend didn't draw a crowd like that. Brilliant to see the interest .
Credit to the 2 teams for drawing the crowd.
The ref was the same to both teams.
Let's park it now an move on to next week.
What big players were village missing outside Pa? Gurta Keniry Colin were all there, Keniry was a disgrace with the referee again, Bunter Keegan and Hennessey all played, they look lost on the pitch, nobody seems to know their role, the team looks slapped together with egos, Dean was never going to stay the lad is a dreamer, nice touch and control but like you said holds on to the ball way too long has no trust in any of his teammates to give it to them until he eventually loses it. That’s what village are for the season, they’ve nothing else and nobody else to come back. And let’s not act like there was only one team on the pitch, Donoughnore have quite a few excellent young players, they remind me of the coachford side about 7 years ago before they started winning all around them, if they stick together they’ll be a problem
O'Donnell, Kearney, Long and McCarthy would have given them more in middle and will. 14 game season means league title is gone.
Forgot about McCarthy, that suspension could have torpedoed their season, Longy is 50 they can’t be relying on him, although he was one of their better players when he came on. Kearney is good on the ball but wouldn’t have fixed any of their problems yesterday which were all off ball I feel. O Donnell is a great winger which is why I feel Dean leaving them isn’t a big deal
Agreed they all looked lost, nobody knows their role. Team looks thrown together no communication or hard work to get the ball back. Big problem in the middle of the park for me, wide open, they didn't win one ball til Longy actually came on believe it or not. They will need Pa Long, zack, gurta back ASAP.
I was impressed with Donoughmore as I said previously, different side from what I watched last season. They will pick up plenty more points.
See on social media coachford 3 up first ten mins.
8 nil on 75 mins , caseys just off,,,,,Springfield won't last much longer an I'm not on about just this game .
Correction 8.2 ,,,,,,,now,,,,come back is on
Come backs over ,,,,all done 8.2
I will stay at home in future. Lesson learnt
Watergrasshill finally down for a game , home to Grattan on the 22nd , not an easy one to start with….
Ah lads 2 games into the season and absolutely writing village off. The league was always going to be beyond them this season. The squad hasn’t even had time to gel. I’m sure a decent league finish and a cup or 2 is still in reach.
I have heard from 2 different sources from 2 separate established county sides that they are really struggling to make it out of the blocks.
As much as I enjoyed beating Utd yesterday lads drink never worth it back to football talk big statement sat from Grattan and talk If they lost out of league think rolls reversed this week if Castleview lose to Coachford them out of running now for me be 8 points behind leaders then save to say they’ll only have cups to play for so early in season be disappointing
Grattan will be fine same talk every year about age etc. Killarney Celtic for them now Sunday will be interesting game, Win and there in two cup finals already. Will there be much longer of weekend games do we think or is this week the last week? Another round of games next week would be great for games played already for fear of the bad weather hitting. I think MJC and FAI starting weekend after next so imagine it will be a break from league games for a few teams potentially for a while.
Watergrasshill and Ucc could do with a break all right
