"..However, a few prayers from the supporters would be appreciated."
Is a Chapel or Prayer room part of the application? I will offer mine aswell. My God bless her and all who sail in her.

Lots of things in there to delay matters !
Still hope it gos well for you but lots of things to do before building can even start and plenty of money to change hands too.
No wonder they gave it the thumbs up :)
The Stadium looks absolutely class. I really hope it does work out for them.
Does it look further out of town than it actually is? could be used as an excuse if crowds arent what they expected.
Cynics use to say Buckley Park was too far out of town to get supporters to trek all the way out but I could never understand that statement. You either going to support your team or not!!
St.Anns closed as of tonight for foundation work for the roof.
There's a chance the Haka match may sell out now.
Yup, that was in the original plan but it got shelved, hopefully for good. A corporate section has to be in one of the main stands, not behind a goal. It just wont work otherwise.
Yeah, i heard 3 months actually. Cant believe it will take that long anyway though. It'll be worth waiting for though i suppose.Quote:
The roof will take at the most two months and it seems the St. Annes stand will be closed for the entire period
Yesterday was the last day for objections/appeals to an Bord Planeala for the Drogs stadium. None were lodged. Full steam ahead now.:D
Harps awarded another €500,000 funding for the new stadium.
I see Dundalk get a quarter of a million as well.
Full list here: http://193.178.1.186/grants_funding/...ortgrants.html
€400k for Monaghan United also.
2.75 million for Tallaght!
€400k for Morton Stadium.
Tallaght Stadium €2.75 million, FAI €400,000.
Beaten to the Tallaght Stadium one. Great to see the funding going ahead anyway. It's flying up at the moment, plenty of work being done on the playing surface too. Great to see.
Dundalk's new Youth delevopment Centre got €250,000
That post was three weeks ago...
What, you mean "What happened to Drogheda's 17th prediction that the ground was definitely going to get started now, for sure?"
I thought it was only up at 15, but yeah we'll take 17th alright so !! ;)
Seriously, Drogs fans ..... did ye find anymore car parking spots out there? Maybe a couple of these on match day and you could double it ;)
Or put that roundabout on stilts .... thats all the rage these days isn't it
Seriously .... any word on this?
Absolutely. I was more shocked that A Face was wondering if everything'd been sorted already, for the exact reasons you noted.
All in Here
In a thread you already posted in........
Memory loss setting in........:D
We'll definitely start the building work in January (like I said three years ago). Just don't know what January.
A big crane putting in the first parts of the roof in Tallaght stadium this morning. Looked like steel support beams of some sort.
Kildare County FC have commenced work on the following:
A 500 seater stand, five rows of seating the whole length of the pitch
The dugout has been moved forward and pitch lengthened to make room for the new stand
Two turnstiles are being installed
A wall is being erected behind the left hand goal from the current stand
All started now; to be completed within three weeks.
We aren't going bust, we aren't going anywhere.
Thanks for the update, I just have some queries, how much is inputted by Kildare County and Newbridge Town FC's

Is Newbridge Town Jimmy Fagan involved with this new stand aswell?
Regarding the turnstiles, don't go for them modern electronic stainless steel ones, get some good old cast iron ones from some supplier in the North of England. Treat it as a long term investment.
Tell Newbridge Town I wish them well with the new work.
Jimmy Fagan is heavily involved of course, and did a great job. New turnstiles have to be up to FAI Standards. They demand a certain type AFAIK.
NTFC and KCFC work together on the ground. Obviously, NTFC don't need two stands and turnstiles but KCFC also wouldn't have the facilities we have if it wasn't for the great work being done by the NTFC folk. The work is being paid for by a grant, it has to be mentioned, which was awarded to NTFC in aid of KCFC or something like that!
Will there be just one stand in Shams new ground?
How much rent will Rovers be paying out in Tallaght??
Is Rovers new ground all seated?
There will a 3500 seater main stand on one side, and hopefully some sort of temporary stand on the far side. Hopefully around 6000 seats to begin with and then people also able to stand behind either goal, Id say a few hundred at either end.
The roof is coming along well but the frame in place and some of the covered sections already in place. Here is the latest pic.

Drogheda's ground looking more unlikely according to the Droda Indent this week, though it could well just be Hoey putting on the political pressure like he's done before.
by the sounds of a lot of things stu its more than unlikely its down right fupped
