Thats a pitty. I feel (as an outsider of course) like Dervin is mixed with Longford Town an identity off the pitch at the moment.

On a 2 1/2 year deal apparently,Galway getting their squad together for next season already…..
I don't really buy the hype over Dervin. I think he was found out at Shels last year as not up to Premier Division quality. He's a hard worker and a tough midfielder, but First Division is definitely his level.
Personally think Galway is a great move for Dervin,I’d be higher on him than others but I’d fancy Caulfield and Horgan to get the best out of him and find a good role in what you’d imagine will be a tough enough season back in the top flight….
Seen a fair bit of Dervin. Thinks he's an extremely limited footballer. Rats around in midfield, decent engine, but very limited on the ball
U21 international Ollie O'Neill's loan at Derry has ended and he's returned to Fulham.
Don't know are any of the other Euro teams likely to lose a couple of players that way before the campaigns begin? Pat's and Dundalk have had a fair few loanees in recent years I think?
O'Neill didn't get much game time, and didn't impress all that much really. I don't think they sorts of loans from English clubs is doing much good for this league or the players themselves.
Just rumours, but both are Kavanaghs may be loaned out in July. I'd presume if that is the case, we've a few new signings lined up.
Jay McGrath at pats is only on loan until the end of this month but Coventry have announced he's been released at the end of the month by them so I’d imagine he may sign a permanent deal depending on what options he has. Aside from that, we’ve Conor Carty on loan from Bolton until the end of the season and Vladislav Kreida on loan from Flora Tallin until the end of the season although I saw an article from Estonian media where their manager is quoted as saying he can be recalled by them up to a certain point and they’re considering doing so as they’re light in options in midfield. Kreida hasn’t featured much at all since Daly came in (even being left out of the matchday squad at times) so I wouldn’t be surprised if he did head back home which wouldn’t be a major loss at all to Pats as he’s been pretty average at best in his 11 appearances so far
Anto O'Donnell departs Treaty United, set to emigrate.
Never came near the levels he set in 2021.
Dervin has got good technical ability on the ball but was too often careless/reckless with it to suit what Duff was trying to do a defensive minded system in the Premier Division, I'm not sure why Duff resigned him for 2023 and sent hin out on loan at the last minute
I'm absolutely convinced Dervin is not good fit for a Caulfield (or Ollie Horgan) system if Galway make the Premier Division
I see Daniel O’Reilly left Hamilton, could be a decent pick up for someone here….
Martin Coughlan joins Kerry from Treaty.
Without wanting to get anyone at Longford in trouble but can someone tell me what's going on with squad numbers?!
I'm trying to organise the squadlist for the next programme and it's not easy...
I know there's a fairly unprecendented injury crisis but is there also a jersey crisis that players can't just be given 'unique' squad numbers.
Beineon O'Brien-Whitmarsh has come in and it wearing #5 but that was previously worn by Oisin Hand.
Emmanuel James has been promoted from the u19s and I believe made his debut against us in the 1-0 win and was wearing #9, a number assigned to Cristian Magerusan. Magerusan however was back in the squad for the recent loss to Athlone and that night James was wearing #15 - a number assigned to Ciaran Hodanu. The following week Hodanu was back on the bench and Magerusan started to James wore #10, which has been worn by Gary Armstrong earlier in the season.
Another u19 graduate Gbolahan Adejumobi has been an unused sub in the last 3 matches but had the numbers 21 and 3 for those games.
There's a couple of other lads in the same boat mixing numbers and taking the jersey of someone injured. This is obviously a bit of a nightmare trying to provide the correct squadlist for the next match.
Strange one, Dervin put up on twitter that his loan with Longford was over, but that tweet has been deleted now. He might've jumped the gun?
LTFC confirmed it at some stage too but that appears to have been deleted also. Strange.
Treaty United can confirm that Martin Coughlan has departed the club to sign for Kerry FC.
Treaty making the announcement for Kerry!
Shels have signed up Conor Kearns again for next season. Great to have him tied down as he's been our POTY by a mile so far this year.
Kerryman hardly clarifying matters in their article, beyond Kerry saying that the announcement was news to them when they saw it, but it seems there will be a fair degree of turnover come July, with 4-5 players leaving, and the same number joining.

As players can't be signed until 1 July clubs can't announce that they've signed a player until then. Bad form by Treaty to announce the Coughlan signing really.

Blackburn making moves for Ferizaj.
Does anyone know what has gone on behind the scenes with Ferizaj this year? He was sensational when he broke through last year.
He’s barely had any minutes this year compared to last, and Bradley has just made 1 or 2 vague comments about him needing to improve.
The article mentions his contract might be up at end of 23, so Rovers won’t get much for him. Real shame… because he’s worth a lot!
I’m guessing Rovers were trying to get him on a long term deal but he wouldn’t sign and so they kept him out of the team until he signed? But maybe it’s become obvious now that he’s running his contract down so they’ve decided to cash in whatever they can?
Kerry FC want to make the announcement in their own time.
It is bad form but I was amused!
There isn't but they seem to have ideas in mind about how they want to announcement. Coughlan's debut all going well will be against Treaty.
It’s fairly rare to see a player in our league have the skill and poise that he showed, especially in the European games at 17 yrs old.
I’ll caveat that by saying there’s been tonnes of lads with talent who end up wasting it - we’ve all seen lots of them - so there’s no guarantee Ferizaj has all the other qualities needed to make the most of his career. But he has no shortage of quality that’s for sure.
Rovers terrible start to the season and then the neccessity to win matches mitigated against giving youmgsters time but i expect him to heavily feature once Europe starts assuming we get a run as well as Noonan and Cruise.
I heard he wasnt fit for the first couple of months of the season as well , not sure what the exact injury was but he is ready and available now
As far as I know Kreida has been gone for a couple of weeks already, seems he became unfancied quite quickly under Daly. Had some nice moments but he was astonishingly unable to keep up with the pace of games so I'm not surprised there wasn't huge interest in keeping hold of him.
On Ferizaj, I think his skill set would be more applicable to continental clubs than England. I know he had a week training with Spurs earlier this year but wasn’t there talk of foreign clubs interest after one of his European performances last year. I think he won POTM in one of the ECL matches…
Came back from the off season out of shape with a bit of an attitude adjustment needed from what I've heard. Still well regarded but sounds like some of the hype got to his head. Has been featuring a bit more lately and did very well when he came on v UCD. He also has more competition this season as Conan Noonan is playing again and does a similar job.
Would agree he would suit leagues outside England. He's never going have serious pace or physical strength but technically he's one of the best I've seen at his age.
Tony McNamee signed back at Harps, last at Bonagee and signed until the end of 2024.

Cork City have made enquiries about former Shelbourne and Livingston striker Jaze Kabia, who is currently training with the club.
Liam Buckley has also been using his connections to St. Pats about a keeper.
