totally agree. maybe the whole thing was an oversight but to keep going and going has put a bit of a dampner on the compretition.

I think you are a bit hard. Mistakes are made on and off the pitch. Are you telling me that their are loads of people willing to take up these positions in the club, if so may be they should step aside. As for palyers leaving the club because of this issue then they are ones not real Clonmel Town and not the person you mentioned above, you are better off with out them. The 5k spent on this case shows how much the committee respects the management & players and were prepared to go all the way to see if they could reverse the unreverseable (sorry about the spelling)
any definate news on this yet? Should have the result today at the latest.
I agree with you in realtion to the players but I still believe that these two gentlemen, and in particular Walsh should leave the club and have nothing more to do with it. They are both inept.
What has Maurice Walsh done for Clonmel Town? He is in the club about ten years and what has he to show for his work, the club been disgraced by been thrown out of the MJC!!. If that is not grounds for resignation I don't know what is
Feel free to seek nomination at the upcoming AGM for the position then??????
Please stop displaying your ignorance so publicly. Firstly the guys name is Muiris not Maurice. Secondly, anyone who knows anything about Town knows that over the past ten years he has put trogan work into promoting the club. Anybody who puts the time and effort into voluntarily running a football club deserves praise, not a public slagging off. As for your previous post Charlie Mckeever will be manager next year and whilst some players will leave they will be replaced by others. Such is life at a football club.
ye are finally out of the competition.
what a waste of money and time.
get it right ye finally got what ye deserved.
good too hear that justice prevailled.. just hope the rest of the competition is as entertaining...
Hi guys can anybody say for definate what the decision of the arbitration s is,there is alot of hear say going on .I was under the impression that wednesday or thursday the latest. It must not be as clear cut of decision as some might think?????
I feel I have to defend the Clonmel Town PRO. He did not pick the team that played against Pike. His job was and is to promote the activities of CTFC at all levels from Schoolboy up to the Junior team and I think he does a really good job at that. Decisions are arrived at by a committee and are arrived at in a democratic way. I would doubt if the PRO of CTFC supported every decision made by the Town Committee during this debacle but he defended his club at every turn and for that he was doing what he was asked to do....in the interests of the club. He does not run the club nor does he pick the junior team. Hence he is totally blameless in the course of action that CTFC chose to follow during this process. What he is responsible for is promoting the club and getting as much publicity and funding for them as possible.
It is in no-one's interest in looking for a scapegoat. Volunteers are not that plentiful in any club. CTFC were entitled to and got due process. In my opinion the correct decision was arrived at by the arbitrator but any club has the right to appeal any ruling and CTFC's actions and appeals, though misguided, were part of a process and they were entitled to use any fair process that was open to them.
To finish, the rules were broken by CTFC (clearly) and they are out of the competition. However, the delays in arriving at the final decision are unacceptable. The process of appeals and arbitration is lengthy and cumbersome. But any club has the right to defend their position within the appeals/arbitration process. Can we stop directing spleen at individuals who only have the interest of their club at heart.
I am glad to hear that the Munster Cup will be finished out now , this is the most important aspect of this situation as a suspension of the competion could have done irrepairable damage.
Who is to blame is for Clonmel Town to sort out ,but as was already pointed out they were entitled to due process.
In my opinion it has to be applauded that the rule book was upheld by arbitration. The place to change is at the AGM of MJL
Lads the arbitration have not made there decision yet ,people are only still guessing .None of the clubs involved have been notified yet ,I was talking to one of the clubs secrectary s yesterday and he said he has heard nothing yet.As it stands the semi is provisionally booked for 10th ,and the final the following week either the fri 15th or on sun the 17th depending on if its pike or not. With the long weekend i suppose it will be tommorow or so?????
anybody know the decision yet??
nothing today so it will be at earliest tomorrow. they can hardly expect the semi for sat or sun at this much notice? but then again....
any developments in this saga? Is it true that the semi will go ahead this saturday night if Pike get through?
