I don't understand how Old Bridge loose home advantage to Town now in FAI.
Ferryhouse wouldn't leave Old Bridge or any team play in their facilities on Sunday it had nothing to do with the pitch the pitch was fine. Bridge shudn't loose advantage over that.
I don't know why the game was nearly played in the complex as well. Heard Lewis was pushing it to go ahead for some reason.
The real reason the game was called off was because a YETI yes BIG FOOT himself had taken up residence just behind the trees in Cooke Park. He established himself a home there and could not be budged. While assembling his home there he unearthed a cache of weapons with I something A written on top he also came across some bones which have been identified as Equine (RUMOUR HAS IT ITS SHERGAR). Also discovered were flight tickets to and from Dallas Texas dating back to the 22nd of November 1963, yes folks the day Kennedy was shot! I KID YOU NOT!

On the wider issue however though.. personally, I think it is wrong in any case, that a club should lose home advantage over what is esentially an act of God i.e. the weather. In fact, changing fixtures based on the weather could lead to games being played on dangerous surfaces, just because a team wants to retain home advantage
St Michaels weren't the cause of the freezing temperatures last weekend.. so why should they be disadvantaged by them.. no more than Old Bridge should have been either. The original fixtures should stand
It is all much ado about nothing,i am surprised Saints keep home advantage but there is a rule in place so where is the problem with taking advanage of this,be foolish not to,i do not think Celtic will mind a whole lot either because they tend to do better in cooke park,we might be debating all this again next week as i can not see games being played again the weekendQuote:

We are only asking the question as to why in two cases (Bridge/Town and Moneygall/Ballingarry) the FAI Junior Cup rule about games being postponed due to the weather was applied (i.e. home advantage changes) but seemingly ignored for the Michaels/Celtic. You're missing the point Rory, Any League can create a new cup competition and in creating the rules for that competition, decide how drawn games in that competition are decided (penos or extra time, replay, etc) as long as they are in accordance with the Fifa directives. As far as I know going straight to penalties is a legitimate way the decide the outcome of a match............My "gripe" is that no one it Tipp seems to have ever seen a copy of the rules governing thes local cups!!Quote:

I think the Information Technology age has passed the TSDL by. They have a very good website although I don't see any reasons why they couldn't have competition rules posted on there.
However it would be a great idea if they spend some of their money on updating their IT skills. Surely it couldn't be that difficult to use email for communications?
League cups in waterford all go straight to pens after a draw, this is mainly due to them being midweek games at the end of a season and light being an issue
The only non-league games in the TSDL that do not go to extra time after draw are Shield games. These are ran in all but Premier Division. The best thing to do is scrap this straight to pens rule from shield games and all concerned will know all non-league games have extra time after drawn 90 mins. Also Ref at one of the said games was told it had to have extra time but said "I'm the ref and I Know the rules"
