celtic have lost their soul and dignity, they lost a lot of respect with their carry on in the fai versus grattan utd down in cork this year.
The soap opera with dykes will soon be over and it`s on the slippery slope
ye go.

do you not remember the a.i.b final????? did ya even beat celtic once last year???? NO!!! ye won the leagueand the mickey mouse cup because celtic were 2 busy playing in th eircom under 21 league and didn't even concentrate on them, when it came down top the u-21 bein finished we had a few extra players and bet yein the final, there were more important things than the league last year!!! ye wouldn't know about them though!!
3-5-2 will you ever give it a rest you are becoming quite boring now. you are just like the rest of the brainwashed at Celtic thinking that Dykes is diong a good job. Then I had to read the Connuaght today and now he is getting Celtic to join the A League of Ireland. God help us.
It is cup weekend this weekend, we are faced with a tough cup tie with Snugboro, how do you think it will go folks?
Listen I have played more games for Celtic than you have had hot dinners and if you think that he has done a good job then you are deluded. For all the money that has been paid over to him one league title is not good enough. He keeps saying that he has brought Celtic to a new level, what level is this. Celtic cant even dominate their own league and now here you and the rest are saying that Celtic have moved foward under him. I think the thousands of pounds that have been wasted on him would have been better off given to the youths. Ye all know that if Dykes went in the morning Celtic would be finished as a force because he players that he brought in would go.
more games than i've had hot dinners??? you'd wanna think bout that 1!!!!! have ya ever played under dykes??? i can nearly safely say you haven't played much since he came. i know myself that any player that has played under him has learned so much. what other manager in celtics history has brought celtic to 2 fai semi finals???? even though we didn't in either we still got there. also played in 2 senior cups, entered the eircom u-21 league which he had an awful lot to do with. in fairness i think you haven't got a clue or else if you did play under him you couldn't get a place in the team under him and have to find something bad to say about him!!
can you name a manager in mayo that has done more than him since he came????? e.g. getting to the later stages of these cups??? no other team have!!! we're the best team in mayo by far!!
PB and KC have won 2 Superleagues and an FAI Junior Cup, and that is alot more than your man, the lads took two years off to give him a chance to catch up, which he hasnt.
Getting to semifinals is not success.
You have a good team, but not the best team in Mayo "by far".
Leveller, spot on there, success is winning trophies not going close.
pb & kc have some pride about themselves and don`t bleed a club dry
and use a club till a better job comes along.
Dykes is all about no.1 and his inflated ego but his c.v. from celtic
will contain a lot of ifs, buts and maybes.
howmuch are they doing about your future??? ye r stuck with the same team where as celtic have plenty to choose from coming up from underage. gavin is bringin in loads of young players and giving them experience of playin senior football at senior level and also in the eircom u-21 league. lads, it's a work in progress, we have nothind to worry about in a few years where as this same team ye have will be still there and ye'll have nothing coming up!!! ye seem to forget that gavin looks at this part of the game where as obviously ye don't!!!!
As pointed out by Westside, I doubt that your manager will be there in a few years time, and your motley crew of players will fly the coop. You will have to call back the disgruntled players which they have pushed out.
We will have one of the best junior grounds in the country in a few years time. The tide will turn.
Our club is built on pride, and have up to this point more than matched your club in acheivements in spite of our smaller population, we have a far bigger fanbase.
You have a far bigger player pool than us and you still cant take advantage.
You will find that our A and B teams came through our youth system, they are not doing bad are they?
All our players were produced from scratch.
We dont paper over the cracks in our system by recruiting players from other clubs who developed them.
Half of your first team starters are not even for castlebar or even near it, they are from Kilmeena (Westport), S&F, Ballinrobe, Swinford. etc.
Such bull sh*t ye talk on this forum, my club is bigger than your club, no mine is bigger than yours. We won the league last year, we won it the year before. Its like Desp Houswives or something...
Give everyone a break and meet up each other and have it face to face, nobody wants to come onto this forum anymore to read the bitchy comments up there. This should be dedicated to Westport United news, points of view etc not a Westport V Celtic shooting match!!
Seen it first hand last night and was highly impressed.
Well done to all concerned. It was the topic of conversation on the bus going home and this is under 14's:D
i'd prefer a better team than having a bigger fanbase!!!! and ye are on about if all the lads not from castlebar leave we will have nothing????? are ye well in the head, thats what i'm on about with the youths system. f.a.i. youth cup winners comin through and even more quality from younger age groups, we have nohing to worry about!!!
Oh I am sorry I forgot going to the beach will require you to walk.
With your resources I thought that hiring a bus would be a snap for yourselves. If it is too expensive put a towbar onto the "courtesy car" of el deuce and get sponsorship for a cattle trailer.
There will be plenty of room.
Sorry I forgot the journey to Bertra beach would increase the already long round trip for your S&F, Swinford, & Ballinrobe natives to come to training, I suppose that Castlebar is the most central location to gather your Celtic blow ins.
Back onto the pitch folks. We beat Snugboro in our defence of the Westaro Cup 4-2 with a hat trick from the Louisburgh Lion and a goal from Spiderman. In the league, we trounced Bangor Hibs 5-2 with Cam (2), Louisburgh Lion (2) and Spiderman. Unfortunately, Spiderman got injured and was replaced by El Matador and El Matador was very impressive on the pitch, his movement would be an education to the kids. The football we were playing was pure sex on grass!!:D
Took a look at the U.12s on Friday night and I'd have to say that they payed some lovely footie. Achill, despite the result, can be complimented for trying to play the correct way.
would`nt say trounced thunderblaster, the scoreline did`nt reflect the game at all, even though our goalkepper pulled off a few fine saves it was still 3-2 entering the last 10 min. Bangor were missing 2 very influencial centre backs, with them playing it might have been closer. Must admit ye were the best footballing team we played this season by far!
Westport United U.14s will be playing in the Umbro Galway Cup in August. The team shall be commuting up and down every day. Hopefully it will be a great week for the kids.
Two wins for the Galacticos, both 4-0 scorelines. Against Swinford, the Louisburgh Lion smacked a hat trick, while Chris Ryder got his first goal for the big boys!! Against Claremorris, it was Kenno, El Matador, Vinny and Cam. It was El Matador's first goal for the club and there were plenty of Spanish celebrations on the sideline. The Sangrias were on the house on Sunday night!!:D
