think we will get off the mark this sunday
We've made another three new signings this week. Two lads training and one more to join us next week. Both lads I've seen look like being solid additions and will compete for starting places. We needed to add a few having lost a couple of players to injury.
Looking forward to playing Bruff Sunday, should be a good game. They are unbeaten and hopefully we can do something about that ;)..
A lot of you lads predicting a win for us, I hope we can oblige..

holycross are definitely due a good result and i think they might snatch one on sunday. the boro have had a great start but they were soundly beaten by coonagh who aren't exactly setting the division alight. murroe are doing well with 3 wins and their defence is decent
Lads, what matches are called off today??
Pike 4 - 1 Bruff
Coffey 2(1 Pen),Barry Lipper(confusion over this) and David Smith on the stroke of full time.Pike were 3-0 up at half time. Good win.
Coonagh v Murroe was off.
Boro B 3-1 Holycross
Edward O'Donovan and 2 from Joey Sheehan
hard to single anyone out this morning as all 11 played well
Was up at the Cals v Caherdavin game. Cals won 3-0. They were by far the better side in the first half and led 2-0 at the break. Caherdavin came into it more in the second half without really creating chances and Cals got their third on the break right at the end.
Dunno about them being like a NBA team though. They have 3 or 4 tall players but best player on the pitch was probably the smallest player on the park. Played in midfield.

Wasn't at the Boro/Cross game today but heard the Cross played v well, still another loss though.
Knockainey say they could easily have lost today but also had 1 or 2 chances to take the points.
Surprised at the Bruff/Pike result, well done Pike. Bruff playing in the Intermediate County Hurling final today, suspect missing a few regulars.
Ya i agree we could have gone 1 down but their guy missed a sitter. it was a poor game with lots of long ball. we kept the dangerious players quiet but some of our guys did not perform. we could have won the game but so could they but i would be happy going away from home to the likes of Fairview and getting a point is ok.
I think its fair to say Pike stole the win in the first half. Bruff were playing much the better football (midfield and up front anyways) and created numerous chances but failed to put any away. Looked shaky at the back under counter-attack though. Meanwhile in the space of about 10 minutes Pike scored a penalty, then scored with a shot from about 20 yards out, then another from similar position aided by a deflection, to earn a three goal lead with about 25 minutes gone.
Second half Bruff got an early pen (scored by Ed Hogan) but never really pushed on from there. Pike took control of things particularly in the last 20 minutes, had two shots come off the post and put away their fourth in the last moments.
great result for shels there away to park. must've been a good game. park are 10 points off promotion places now. surely they'll be playing in 1B again next season after all the hype they still haven't won a game. bit surprised at caherdavin going down 3-0 to cals, thought it would've been a close game but cals are a good side
I wouldn't be too sure of Park still playing in 1B next year,
2A is surely a possibility now? :D
saw this game yesterday . park had most of the play but failed to take chances. The pitch was poor and should probably not have gone ahead. Shelbourne played wel on the counter.
Park need to impove in goals, and at cb. There was a few mistakes but they should play dukes in the middle with the ginger fella and davy wall up front. they made some stange changes with the game at 2-1...... and seemed a little rudderless
Pike 4-1 Bruff
A very good win this for us. Bruff started the game well, pretty much dominating possesion, but creating very little up front. They were passing it well, but we were looking far more dangerous in front of goals. We won a penalty after 20 minutes which we scored and then got a goal 2 minutes later. Bruff were knocked back by this and we took advantage adding a third before half-time. In the second half they showed a lot of character and came at us with everything they had, scoring from a penalty and missing a few chances. We created several chances of our own but were very slack with our finishing. In the end it took a late goal to seal the win. All round good effort by both teams.
Only 1 league game in the Leader down for the weekend
Murroe v Cals
still a lot of games to be played yet .. a little bit early to have them relegated already .. any team no matter how good they are can be relegated you need the players to pull them out of the s**T :ball: so we will see as season goes on if they are good enough . seen park play a few games and they have been unlucky control a lot of game but just cant score and then concede soft goals
having said that if they continue to do this then they will struggle big time to stay up :ball:
Ya, it's a real mystery to me this Park situation. I really thought when we played them in the first game of the season that I was looking at potential champions. I've been shocked by their slide since. I really can't believe they haven't won a game yet. But something tells me they're not finished yet. Still fancy they'll get it right and maybe go on a wining run. Maybe a cliche, but perhaps one win is all they need.
what you described there is what gets teams relegated or finish in the bottom 4, (not being able to take chances and then conceding soft goals). i'd be really surprised if they got relegated but it is a possibility. they won't get promoted anyway. pike are coming good, and fairview, cals and knockainey are strong sides
