Excellent run into the box for the goal. He's playing on the right.
I thought Duff had a good game today for Newcastle and had a lot to do with them getting back in the game. Maybe I am biased but he had that extra bit of class. If he stays injury free, some time in the championship might do him good in that he might get some confidence from performing consistently over a number of games.
That's true, he's probably still too good for the championship.
He played against a footballing side today a shone. I'd just be worried that some of the other teams in that league will be just interested in hacking the legs from under him, I hope he manages to stay injury free for the season.
He has lost that yard of pace, but his football brain is still way ahead of many others, especially at that lower level.
He displayed great intelligence at times, and might have been in at least twice more had players picked up on his runs.
The actual goal itself was a very hard one to finish given the angle, and the fact that it was on his right foot. Well taken.
He had a pretty average game apart from the goal, but his off-the-ball runs were fantastic, and had he someone with a bit more football intelligence to link up with, Newcastle might have won the game.
Great finish today like. He had a lot less time to put it away than it looked like at first.
According to today Indo there are a few Premiership clubs and 1 Bundesliga club interested in him. I dont follow German football very closely but Id much prefer to see Duff at a decent German club rather than at the likes of Stoke, Wolves or Hull... Although I still fully believe he could do a job for a top club in England if he had the right manager

What's going on with the papers? are any of them naming the clubs that are linked to him? That ape Cathal Dervan was at it yesterday"a northern club....", yet he hadn't the balls to name the club.Does anybody know what clubs are actually interested in Duff?
Cathal Dervan, I stopped reading anything that clown wrote/made up since 2002. Not sure who I rate less, him or Tom "Chip on my shoulder/I love GAA" Humphries.
I think Duffs goal at the wkd did him no harm but its more likely that he will stay at Newcastle considering the fact that he wont get anywhere near his wages anywhere else. If he has a good first half of the season with Newcastle, someone might come in for him in Jan.
Huge GAA head, which is all well and good but at every opportunity he uses events like the munster final etc etc to say how great gaa is in his opinion compared to rugby, soccer etc etc......
One of those quotes you read yesterday was along the lines of "how many schools will the champions league trophy be visiting this year, sam and liam spend their whole year going from school to school" like wha!!
NO its not that, he got a great response for his original 100 reasons why the GAA is better than....article, in fairness it was very good and did the rounds of all gaa forums and mailing lists. However he is living off past glories and he keeps trying to emulate that article every year.
I have to say though I like his no-nonsense approach and calls it as he sees it. Its the rugby he isn't gone on, not the soccer.
Born in the UK of Irish parents, lived in London as a child before they moved back to Dublin. Big Leeds fan funilly enough despite his slavish devotion to Roy Keane. He does like his soccer but is mad for the GAA and dislikes rugby. Always liked his articles but he's lost it a bit recently for me....
no 116 is a pop at the FAI. if he was bothered taking his seat in the stand early sometime he'd hear the artane boys band belting out "on the one road" consistantly before GAA matches. so its not just the fai tom!
detests league of ireland....
