I provided those links. You had earlier mentioned April as the fall off date, therefore I picked April onwards.
It's indisputable that Villa finished stronger in 2 out of the 4 seasons that MON was there. Those 2 finishes were better than Villas' average and in one of those seasons their position was already secure regardless, when they lost their last irrelevant match.
Their average finish in 2007/8 was not a disastrous finish, it was actually slightly better than average.
They averaged 1 83 points in each the last 6 games after April. Their season's average was 1.71
If you want to switch the goalposts, I'm not interested.
