Great result from Pats.
Even more so when ye were 2 down.
Much needed boost for the League.
Well done Pats. Fantastic stuff and best of luck in the second leg.
Never anything wrong with taking 2 away goals into the home leg, well done Pats. The hard part's done, next comes the other hard part ;)
RTÉ have covered it live on Radio Éireann. Report on the website also

The ko was two hours before the ko for the other two matches mentioned, perhaps there is a quick 'shelf-like' for stories at breakingnews.ie.
Brilliant result for Pats. The league really needed a shot in the arm like this, with all the financial problems announced yesterday.
Great result. Hope Pats can keep their nerve in the second leg.
Great result - Irish Times has decent write up on it and even has Pats favourites to go through now!
Story hereQuote:
the visitors pummelled their opponents with 45 minutes of blistering football.
So after this result what is the breakdown for Irish clubs v. Swedish ones? It seems our clubs have lately had an impressive & consistent record against representatives of a supposedly stronger league
Great comeback-Well Done!!
Great stuff - well done
2nd leg should be a sell out
Good stuff, great result. 2 nil down as well.
Lets hope you can get a 0-0 or a 1-1 or better.
Just to note, I think it would be a mistake to play for a draw.
Excellent result, good chance of progression now too. When are tickets for the home leg on sale? I must find my ticket from the last game!
Tickets for main stand go on sale on Monday. €10 apparently
Absolutely monster 2d half performance. As proud as I've ever been to be a Pats fan. Their top player is getting €30,000 per game and we played them off the park in the 2nd half.
As already stated our away record is better than our home record so no one is getting carried away yet
They have somebody on 30k a game ?
Could be right on the "lost in translation" bit alright. Being drunk didn't help. And the €30,000 was actually 300,000 kronas. We double checked the amount...
Anders Svensson is on SEK 200,000 a month, which is roughly €21,000. The top players in the Swedish league would be on something similar.
But there is one exception - Lasse Nilsson. He's the best paid player in the Swedish league at the moment - he's on loan from French side St Etienne (sp?) until the end of the season at €65,000 a month.
Whats to story with the home leg ticket arrangements? Is it a fully seated affair? What will the capacity be? Are many tickets pre sold?
what a great result for pats and the league in general. yee did us all proud nad it gives a good kick up the ar##se to the league of ireland knockers.
congrats from a genuine sligo rovers supporters and if yee have a few spare bob send it our way because where would the leage be without the bit 'o red
Well done Pats!
I suppose us Sligo Rovers fans can pick up the crumb of comfort that is we seemed to give you a harder match that the Elfs did.
However all the glory goes to Pats. Of all the Dublin clubs it is yourselves I like to see succeed most, ye just seem to know how to do things right.
Not for one moment do I think you will get the credit you deserve and no doubt those who are determined to find a cloud in every silver lining - and there are a lot of people who make a good living out of doing just that - are just waiting to see you come unstuck in the next round.
However real Irish football supporters recognise your achievement and celebrate it with you. WELL DONE.
P.S. If people were right in this country they should fill Croke Park for the next round. After all they will fill it to go and see non-descript rubbish that are International Friendlies!
