Not this week I'm afraid but you are surprisingly close with that guess

Ooh, intriguing.
I was going to do up a cover for mine, but sadly time didn't allow it, next time though. As for names, I'm quite happy with Jebus In The Mix Vol. One, might just stick with that :)
As Noby previously suggested, it'd be handiest if Jebus could collate them in entirety and send the list to all of us at once. Alternatively, the baton/list could each week be forwarded, in a symbolic gesture of control, as one's turn arrives.
Jebus, you think you could do 3 minutes of ctrl-c ctrl-v'ing to save us individually going through the PM rigmarole each week? Don't forget yourself in the complete list!
______________
By the way, your cover looks deadly Raptor. Certainly not a candidate for the 'worst album covers' thread!
Can I nominate Kingdom hoop for the most sensible poster on foot.ie award

Thank you kind sir, bearing in mind thats only the concept that I whacked together using MS Paint I've to mess around with it in Photoshop when I get home
Better yet, you think you could design me a hat with that exalted title, to wear whenever I log on? I'd love that.
I'll post it with your CD
His humour is deffo starting to grow on me alrite....
All I can say is I hope you boys all have cassette players and great imaginations
Well Jebus Cd arrived y-day. had a quick listen and I'm pretty impressed on the whole. I can see this CD getting a fair bit of airtime around my place. track 10 is an old old favorite of mine that I hadn't heard in years so thanks for that (I've been humming it all morning)
Since y'all seem to have the CD by now I'll throw up the playlist for people wondering what was on it
The Shins - Turn On Me
Nico - These Days
Nightmares On Wax - Morse
Sebastian Tellier - La Ritournelle
Goldfrapp - Ooh La La
The Clash - Bankrobber
Sly and the Family Stone - Skin I'm In
Chet Baker - Mr B
Stevie Wonder - Happier Than The Morning Sun
Nina Simone - O-O-H Child
Big 5 - Monkey Man
Paul Simon - Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard
We're From Barcelona - I'm From Barcelona
Yo La Tengo - Season Of The Shark
Supergrass - St Petersburg
Kings Of Convenience - Winning a Battle, Losing The War
Trespasser Williams - Vapour Trail
Ali Farke Toure - N'Jarou
Tom Waits - Flower's Grave
Pick of the songs for me is Vapour Trail by Trespasser Williams, absolutely love that track
Don't know the josh ritter and bell x1 track so not sure, its a female vocalist on this one though
eh quick google reveals it isnt...
Jebus you seem to have a predilection for songs with the lyrics LA LA LA or NA NA NA in them, (not a criticism, just an observation)
Am guessing from BGR's post that the Vapour Trail tune is actually a cover of the Ride classic? Hope so anyway.
Halfway through it now (other half on the way home from work) and it sounds great so far jebus. Lot of tunes I didn't know which is the point of a mix CD I think. Couple I won't be hearing again :p (thought I insisted on no jazz!) but that's good too. Excellent work!
half way through Jebus' CD right now. That stevie Wonder tune is excellent. Being a person who only listens to punk rock records recorded in 76 and 77 (or so the folklore amongst my friends goes  ) I'd never heard it before.
Right lads Couple of issues I'm Afraid (not fatal)
I've burned off the Cd's (8 is correct? Right?)
I've only received WangBall Address so come on get them to me
secondly printer is out of ink so No covers :(
what I'll do is post the cover up here when you've all received your CD's and ye can print it out if you wish
Jebus.. My Cd Doesn't Work..
:(
Exasperatingly, I recently lost access to decks, and also those fancy types-the-tracks-on-the-CD printers. The Hoop Flop could've cleared that bar! Alas a paucity of glossy fripperies won't now distract from my woeful song-selecting abilities.
Unless you want one for yourself!
You're coming at the problem from the wrong angle I'd say; it's probably your CD-playing device wherein the issue truly lies. Jebus (perhaps realising we'd quickly tire of his mix) used re-writeable CDs so if your CD player is pretty old it mightn't recognise the CD's newfangled complexion. Your computer should though, so maybe burn the CD on to your computer, whence burn an ordinary CD-R. I'd imagine that's the problem. Of course Jebus could have pulled a fast one by sending you a dud. :)
Yeah it's one a week. The running order is half confirmed: Volume 1 - Jebus; Volume 2 - Raptor; Volume 3 - The Brewer; Volume 4 - Noby; Volume 5 - Stann. So, you'll note, Volume 6 and onwards haven't been 'bagsed'. Shur we'll put you down for the sixth seeing as though you raised the topic, and the deadline may help to give focus to your pondering. I'll nominate myself for seventh so then I suppose.
Any other questions? :D
Week 7 it is for me then.
Tom Waits tune is top notch as well.
I suppose that makes me 8!
Week 1 is week beginning 2nd June.
2...9th
3...16th
4...23rd
5...30th
6...7th July
7...14th July
8...21st July
Oh there are alright. The confusion may stem from Lionel Ritchie boldly shouldering me off the roster this morning. :D I want that lucky seventh spot back damn you! (clever joke about too long a post welcome :))
On Jebus's CD, songs I particularly liked were those by The Shins, Nightmares On Wax, The Clash, Nina Simone, Paul Simon, and Tom Waits. If I was to be negative, I'd say Chet Baker's Mr B felt a little long. Very enjoyable overall though in fairness.
Mine may well be a box set by the time I'm finished.
A normal CD-R is 70 mins yeah?
Just got Raptor's CD, haven't had a listen to it but the track listing is pretty promising! Surprise 80's track is a winner
Righty Oh Lads. Wangball is practically a neighbour so I hand delivered his y-day. I'll be posting the rest of them at about 1pm today
CD's on the Way Lads
Oh yeah forgot to mention that I had to cut the original 20 tracks down to 17 as their wasn't enough room on the CD
still it gives me a 3 track head start for next time
Ah come on, jazz is awful! Nah, I like a lot of it, especially the more modern electro stuff like St. Germain or the swingier end of things. But I don't much care for a lot of other, maybe purer, stuff at all to be honest. That's just me though. :)
You might be dropped for next time though.... :D
Looking forward to manhandling the postman in the morning to see what he's bringing. Hopefully no jazz anyway.
I'm in two minds as to whether I should be planning my playlist already, or go for the last minute panic approach. Probably the latter, knowing me.
I quite liked Jebus' one - very laid back for these sunny days (although I think I may have skipped half way through 'that' song)
