Who's the psycho next to the mic? His team is one up, but he's not happy! :D
Really is annoying, you'd think they'd dim that mic or something.
Before tonight, I wasn't aware that if a player jumps at you, you get booked. The eircom league referees continue to educate. Another game, another sending off.
Pats full value for their win tonight but if I have to watch another team putting 8/9/10 behind the ball while we have it I'll crack up.
edit: 2-1 now, maybe there's some hope.
Don't I look silly! :D Doubtcha Johnny, Leeside legend. Why didn't he start?!
edit: Damn it, damn it to hell.
Have to feel a bit sorry for Cork there. Some strike by Fahey.
What a goal. Fahey the destroyer to the rescue!
Fahey's free was deflected, gutting stuff.
Great game to watch, dunno what cork fans on about with hoofs they played well from midfield forward, even your keeper took every kickout short, defence kept making stupid unforced errors but georgie was brilliant.
We played well but sat back again and were punished, got away with that a few times this season but Cork got 2 goals that they earned with 10 men Ryan fupping up twice.
lost another defender with Lynch gone off, we have one left from our best back 4
Fahey was brilliant again even when getting chopped down, our 2nd goal was excellent build up with an LOL finish.

Danny Murphy shouldn't have got any card, not to mind a red one. It really messed up things for us, Sullivan was playing well, making up for Kearney being so poor. Flynnie should have started.
Fahey with goal of the month again, even if it was deflected. Pats are a great side, and if they had everyone available they'd run away with it. Some really nice stuff from them at times. Early days but i'd have them down to win the league with what we've seen already.
Mathews saw it for the first time in the replay and did well to hold his tongue. Shocking stuff and you have to imagine that Murphy got 2 cards tonight based on his reputation.
 It was a fairly bog standard drive at the wall until the deflection, Devine would've caught it standing. With the deflection he had to dive from standing further back and despite it being a bit central, couldn't keep it out. Having played in goal, there's nothing worse than that.Quote:

Was behind the goal when the free went in, was it a peno? Tackle was fairly close to the line.

Thought Pats played pretty well when they wanted but at 1-0 and 2-0 they didn't seem to bothered to get forward that often. They looked very nervy at the back.
Fahey and O'Flynn changed the game really. Cork were never going to score with Behan up front and Fahey completely bossed the game in midfield.
Having no Gamble really showed for Cork, noone was willing to grab the game by the scruff of the neck for them.
I thought both keepers did reasonably well, bar Ryan's howler for Cork's second.
lol sure, we should have been 3 or 4 up at HT but we keep sitting back on leads, considering you scored the same amount of goals that we have conceded this season makes yah wonder what score it would ahve been if we had a fit defence.
Only one Cork player pats fans fear and you playing him as a centre back :p

I watching the game now and how the jesus does anyone think you didnt try take Fahey out, its fine your not the 1st this season just dont expect it from Cork. fact he hasnt reacted ....much is the good thing.

funny when that fell apart, lost its meaning without the 1st part :D

24 points out of 27 - is this the best start to a LoI season in....well how long?
So you also reckon if gamble was playing you would have won?
As i was replying to a cork fan who was playing the "Should have, would have, could have game"
In the spirit of the game if we had a fit defence and quigley put away his chances we would have won 79-0

Thought we were very poor & 2-2 would have flattered us as second was a gift from Barry Ryan. Not seen the tv replays but was not surprised to see second yellow. Pats are set up nicely for counter attacking using Fahys vision for the O'Neill & Quigleys pace. We are badly lacking pace in the attacking areas of the pitch. As well as the direct free kicks Fahy takes the best indirect free kicks in the league. I think Pats may struggle against more physical sides as they are a bit lightweight. Disappointed with the crowd which can't have been more than 2500.
Edit: RTE report says
:rolleyes:Quote:
Fahey secured the points for Pat's when the action switched immediately back to the other end and he buried the ball into the back of Devine's net after a scramble in the City goalmouth.
Thats the problem, you'd half expect it from Danny. Unfortunately, what actually happened was the kid jumped into Danny, Danny tried to get out of the way, yer man fell awkward, and the St Pats bench acted like he'd been shot. Ref pulled out the yellow on impulse, to the chuckles from the satisfied St. Pats bench.
