Awful news. RIP, WWS.:(
I presume it was put there by Bohs' fans as it was in their 'zone'. Fair play to them. At tragic times like this one we must all put our rivalries aside and respect other fans. We all love our clubs but people come first.
I heard the full story tonight at the game and it's just amazing that something awful like that can happen. Very, very sad.
How very sad. My sincere condolences.
That's shocking stuff. Only knew him from on here but always enjoyed his posts. RIP wws
Of course I didn't know him, but this has shocked even me.
RIP.
Didn't know the lad at all, but always enjoyed his one liners on here. He could change the tone of a thread with one witty remark.
Very sad.
RIP wws.
Never met the guy but I'm shocked to say the least. I used to always look out for his posts on betting and he'll be sorely missed on here.
RIP
:( RIP wws. My deepest condolences go out to friends and family.
RIP
The one genuinely funny poster on this site, but who knew his football as well.
My condolences to those of you here who knew him personally.
Lads as someone who knew Peter personally I can tell you how much this thread means to his family and friends
I'm in tears typing this after spending a night with the SEI, his friends around the league and his family.
Without a shadow of a doubt today and the last week has been one of the worst times of my life.
From me and all the other crew, thank you to Peter and his manicness
Keep on keepin on!
wws will never die
RIP Peter
In tears too - thanks for the memories mate, a true Saint.
You can relax now Ryaner - we're staying in Inchicore!
Condolence's to his friends and family, never got to meet the man but someday i may have the pleasure, RIP.
I got to spend yesterday with his friends and some of his family. They are bowled over by the level of his popularity, within league circles. I'm in tears reading everything that's been written here.
I only met Peter once when he was in Dalymount - he was a gas man that night.
It was a real shock to hear he died so suddenly. Puts all this football thing into perspective.
Good luck to you wws wherever you have gone to - but I'd say you're bullin now that Pats are good again.
Deepest condolences to the family.
I never had the honour of meeting Peter or know him outside of his posts here and elsewhere. To know the shock I felt when I first read this, I can only imagine how tough it's been for his family and friends.
My deepest condolences to Peter's family and friends.
Sad, sad news.
Condolences to all those close to him.
RIP
The genuine football family is a small one and to get the gunk that a relative newcomer to this forum like myself got on hearing the news, speaks volumes for the humour and knowledge that shone through wws’s posts here. May He Rest in Peace.
I'd just like to echo the sentiments already expressed.
I never knew the man but read his posts in the short time I've been on here myself.
Like everyone else I was and am genuinely shocked and saddened.
May he rest in peace.
sad news indeed. wws RIP
Tragic loss of super Saints fan
OUR attention was recently drawn to a dubious attempt by St Patrick's Athletic fans to honour new star Alan Kirby by inserting his name into the chorus of the old Salt-N-Pepa hit 'Push It'.
Therefore, it was with great shock that we learned yesterday that the architect of that particular effort, Saints fan Peter Ryan, had passed away following a sudden illness.
Peter was a young man cut down in his prime and the heart and soul of much of the terrace banter at Richmond Park. It will be a poorer place in his absence.

RIP Peter. Truly shocking stuff. :(
Really sad news thoughts with his family.
Like many others here I never had the pleasure of meeting wws but through reading his posts that showed his genuine love and knowledge of the game and witty one liners that could change the whole tone of a discussion I felt that I knew him.
My sincere condolences to all his family and friends.
RIP
WWS
Sad news indeed, may he rest in peace
Absolutely shocking. Only met the guy briefly once, on the way home from a Shels European game when, as you'd expect, slagging Shels was the main topic of conversation. One of the very few posters who regularly made me laugh out loud on reading his posts both here and on JW's old site (especially the subtle ones that the butt of the joke didn't get) but, as said above, knew his football as well.
RIP.
I only knew WWS through this forum and through his occasional posts on the Bohs forum. I'm sure I had the odd sparring match with him, but he certainly was one of those who brought knowledge, insight and intelligence to the board, and for that I'll miss him. RIP.
Jesus!
That news has really shocked me!! I'm really gutted by that.
I met Peter many times over the years when attending EL games in Dublin, the last time being in McDowell's last season.
What a fantastic bloke and I'm sure he will be very sadly missed by all his friends and family.
RIP!
I just want to say thankyou to everyone who took the time to post on this thread. It has been moving to read some of the comments. When I get a chance I will take the time to show my parents and I am sure it will be great for them to see how loved he was.
Thanks and God Bless
Aussie Ryan
As most have said above, absolutely shocked.
Making people laugh is an underappreciated gift and he had it by the bucketload. The world is a poorer place without him.
RIP WWS and condolences to friends, family and Pats fans.
I just want to echo the sentiments expressed in this thread. I've quietly enjoyed the wit and humour of wws' posts down through the years and I wish to offer my condolences to his family and friends.
Rest in peace.
RIP, Remember him from the old EL message board and the matches in the phoenix park along with internationals etc. he always had good banter with the rovers lads.
RIP wws.
Condolences to all who knew him. Foot.ie will be all the poorer without his presence.
Like many I remember him from the old Board
RIP WWS, i've just been reading some of your old posts - your humourous nature will be missed
Always liked to see what he had to say.
Although I never met him, it's obvious how highly regarded he was among us.
RIP
