We are not playing on a borrowed pitch! Anyone who has signed a Junior form at any stage has the right to feel at home in Jackman park and indeed most of the senior players would have played Junior. The new refreshing approach to soccer by all of the grades is aimed at eliminating the type of comments that you are making on a regular basis. Jackman park is set to become the spiritual home of ALL soccer in Limerick and will in the years to come be the place where every schoolboy and girl will want to play. The squad that is being assembled for Limerick 37 contains some of the best players in Limerick and in my own opinion in first division. One must remember the number of players who never reached their full potential over their careers due to poor coaching and a mercenary approach to soccer, Limerick 37 intends to halt that approach and develop each player to his full potential.
I am sorry you feel as you do and if you are from Limerick I am even more sorry as this is YOUR club along with every other soccer fan in the city and county, I hope you can find a way to feel included in the genuine efforts of all those who are trying to build a better future for all soccer in Limerick.
Thanks
i wish ski mcgee the best of luck. 30 years watching LOI and he was miles and away the best player i have seen. He may have matured now off the field as well. best of luck
Well if what you say is true then ok i see nothing wrong with it as they have been asked and i know you say to "leave" a club but its to "join" another. But the main thing here is they have been asked which means they have a choice, to stay with their clubs or to join a new one. simple as :ball:
and HOOPS will ye give it a rest. If Limerick 37 were not to go into Jackman park it would remain as it is now, undeveloped and an eyesore. Go up and take a photo of it now, and see the small changes in 5 weeks time and tell me then that Limerick Senior soccer isnt good for Jackman. And in 5 years time....
Very Genuine
I dont know thw players you speak of but when you look at a player you have to see what the player can be not what he is. If the player cant reach his full potential that is the problem not the player.
I dont intend to get into any games about what player may or may not be better.
any idea when and where training starts?
who says limerick will get in wexford have a great chance they have better finances
The Limerick 37 FC finances are sound and realistic. Finance is one aspect of the license application and we have no problem with the finance aspect. I would also ask do you know how many teams are required to make up the first division? If so your comments are strange
The legend that is Ski McGee:D. Hope he does well.
you and you alone of course  but seriously mate try and say something positive about Limerick soccer for once. This seems to be a totaly new grouping who run Limerick 37 and none of the people who ran limerick Fc are involved at any major level, myself included. So you, me everybody lets give them a chance and some help when they need it.
I feel really bad now................Quote:
The contributions of Green&White and LTID are just uncalled for. References to our General manager, who just happens to be quite ill at the moment, and our manager are in bad taste.
Anyways, Ski certainly talked the talk but mention of ex Galway players is pretty frightening ;)
Also he has worked mainly with youth teams before so dare I hope for a better brand of football  :ball:
I call post 100 in this thread :)
Damn it!!
how is ski settling in?
any word from the players?
would like to see him do well as a former GUFC (ands everyone else) star!!
