well,
a week in paris directly after stuttgart, Cyprus for five days, christmas and then San Marino.. will be a pricey few months. Could do without spending money for extra days and hotels

Fair enough. Suppose I'm looking at it that it'd be a waste of holidays to come back on the Friday and not spend the weekend. Though I'd likely be flying in on the Wednesday and leaving on the Sunday, with a weekend in Rome, if I'm heading.
I was thinking of doing that except leave Monday evening and travel tuesday morning by train from Pisa to San Marino. Stay Tuesday night and Wednesday there and then back Thursday for the flight on the Friday.
Tom did you get a hotel for Pisa yet. Any recommendations. Think I will stay there Monday night and Florence on the Thursday night.
just had a quick look on the net for hotels in Pisa Neil. Plenty of hotels around the central train station for approx €60 a night. Want to see Florence as well so may well go there on Thursday too. I have a friend who is in the travel business who looks after me always with good accommodation, so I will see what he comes up with a post here
booked this over the w.e
mon-thu
dub-stanstead-ancona with ryanair
3* hotel in Rimini
All in €186
is this game definitely on in bologna
No, they have until 2 months (or something like that)
before the fixture date to confirm the venue
why do you think the game will be in bologna?Quote:

I hope its on in San Marino, always good to visit another country.
Its only being debated as there was talk of them switching the GermanyQuote:

cant see it happening, its one thing to move a game to a bigger stadium to accomodate their own fans and needed the revenue, if they moved the game no one would visit san marino and the country would lose out as the visitors will only spend the real money where the match is.Quote:

Just heard on News at One on RTE Radio 1 that Ryanair are to open new routes from Dublin in December and one of these is to Bologna. This could make travel arrangements very handy !!:)
Watch out for launch - but then again prices will probably be jacked up for the time of the match:(
Me & Beavis heading so all prices are include both of us.
They're all only 1c/ 1p at the mo so here ya go (all rounded up):
Tues 6th
Dublin 13:35 - Stanstead 14:50 = €54
Stanstead 19:00 - Bologna Forli 22:05 = €60
Fri 9th (Ryanair new route starts on the 9th)
Bologna Forli 17:50 - Dublin 19:40 = €36
Total on flights €150
€75 each thats a bargain I reckon.
Dont forget that Bologna Forli is Bologna's second airport and is about 40 miles outside the city centre. To get to the city centre you have to get a bus which is timed to leave after each flight arrival and it takes about 75 minutes or you can get a local bus to Forli station, about 15 minutes away, then get a train to Bologna. Trains run about every half hour (not sure about later in the evening) and the train journey takes about40 minutes.
looks like forli is 40 km closer lads , no need for that bus back into bologna
forli to serravalle is only 60 clicks , passing through rimini , with bologna back the other way
They start flying on the Friday after the game the (9th Feb) & still only 1c per seat.
Bang in the 9th from Bologna to Dublin on this page & hit "view"

May be slightly off topic but where are they playing the Germans tomorrow night ??
By what date do they need to confirm the venue? is it 3 months before??
Ive just booked out of stansted on the tues, coming back from bologna on the thurs £30 all in
Happy days - has cheered me up given I just failed my driving test
have also booked today derry via stansted to bologna 143euro return(50 of it overnight stay in stansted)..still not bad considering flying out of derry instead of trip to dublin or belfast and paying for car

Are you flying into and out of Bologna? What about accommodation - are you stopping in Bologna or going straight onto San Marino? Do you know the best wasy from Bologna to San Marino?
Probably the main reason you failed your test was that you got into the back of the car sporting a plastic bucket of beer from the Schlossplatz:)
My instructor will be writing you a strongly worded letter at this rate:eek:
To answe your questions, one at a time -
Yes Im flying into and out of Bologna
Accommodation - No idea as yet
Bologna or San man - No idea as yet
Best way to to san man - No idea as yet
But I got flights for £30 return, so I know i shall be having a little holiday. It will all sort itslef out :D
