Bring a spare passport for him also.
The thing is even if you aren't on the list you still won't miss out once you're keeping an eye here.
I am still waiting to see something on the FAI web site before I apply as I have seen in the past . Should I still wait until the FAI are accpecting applications as before or send them in now ????????
My drinking head is currently at the gargage but should be ready for September. Althought I did get it back for a test drive last night at the U19 match.
I've just receieved an email from the FAI ticket office, stating that applications will only be taken from current Block-Bookers.........I now start my begging in earnest!!:(
Re: Czech Republic v Republic of Ireland - 12th September 2007
Dear Mr ,
I refer to your request for an application form for the Euro 2008 qualifier away to Czech Republic on 12th September 2007.
Due to the small allocation of tickets we have received for this fixture we are unable to take orders from non-FAI Block Booker account holders.
The Toyota Arena in Prague has a capacity of 20,565 and under UEFA regulations the FAI are only entitled to 10% of the tickets for the game.
Application forms will be distributed to FAI Block Booker account holders shortly.
As demand is expected to exceed supply, not all applications will be successful.
Yours sincerely,
Ticket Office
Football Association of Ireland
Time to start the queue again for tickets. I am looking for tickets for both Slovakia and Czech. Surely they won't sell out for a home game will they?
Received my application form for tickets for this match in the post today :). I am a Block Booker.
There are 2 categories: (incl. €2.00 handling charge)
Category 1 Price €55.00,
Category 2 Price €37.00
The venue is Toyota Stadium Prague. Kick off TBC (to be confirmed)
Application to be returned by 22nd June and "successful applicants will be notified of the number and price of ticket/s allocated in due course"
Aido,
Was the Czech application in with the Slovak one or separate ?
I got the sloavak one but no czech one yet
Right lads where ye all staying in Prague?? 12 of us staying in The Andante Hotel, 2 mins walk from Wenceslas Square. Seems decent enough.
Thats on the same street as our hotel. Not a great fan of Irish bars abroad but twill be a good base camp.Quote:
also near one of Pragues best pubs " Rocky O'Reillys"!!
Anyone know if there is a Czech ticketmaster (a la Eventim) or if they sell all their tickets through the Czech FA? Only on the BB waiting list so I'm not even in the lottery from the FAI
LAds, anyone have any idea how we raid the tickets in the home end for this one? Anyone found any websites with any clue to where to buy the home tickets. Anyone sent an e-mail to Czech FA?
Less than 3 months and I'm starting to worry but still think its very likely we'll be sorted in the end for both. When did the German home-end tickets go on sale last year - can't recall!!!
Out of interest, has there been any educated guesses made in the media over there of how many Irish fans are expected to travel for the two games?
dont know but a lot id say
Now that's waht i call an educated guess!:rolleyes:Quote:

Just read on the FAI website that the closing date was the 15th of June , now I am dam sure that it was the 22nd a few weeks back . It looks like they have moved the goalposts on us .
15th was date for applying for an application form. 22nd is date when applications have to be in by
Don't worry Koemans as everything is sorted at our end now all we have to do is wait and see if our names come out of the hat , you have to have faith in the FAI to do the right thing otherwise one of us will have to go up to Dublin with a can of petrol or has that been done before :D:D:D
Has anyone ever travelled from Vienna to Prague and
if so whats is the best way bus/train/plane.
I was in Prague before so I wanna break up the trip a bit by
going to Vienna for a few days after the Slovakia game.
inbetween games.
Vienna is only 40 km from Bratislava so I would recommend the boat trip between the two places, thats what we are doing on the Thursday when we fly into Vienna.
I rang the FAI earlier to find out when they would be notifying applicants as to whether they would be getting tickets or not. They said applicants would be notifed in the next couple of weeks. That's quicker than I expected. Here's hoping.
any meet up in centre of prague planned? any square or landmark???
