Profit margins on kits are getting lower and lower, unfortunately.

Noticed in last few years, like everything else price of merchandise climbing significantly. The same polo top that was maybe 30-35 quid 3 years ago is now 50 quid and the likes of quarter zips that were 50 quid are now 70.
Yeah Pats have loads of different T-shirts available, some are really nice and others are truly awful looking to me but are aimed at and popular with kids (old man shouts at cloud etc!)
Theres been a good bit about small fitting merch, especially with Macron being Dundalk's new kit benefactor. Maybe we should do a fit LoI fans in to merch for discounts rather than needing bigger sizes for big prices! Unless of course a person is 'big boned' (no laughing at the back), or have a hormonal issue so why they might be on the lager side.
The new Pats shirt arrived in the post this morning. Id be a lot happier with it than on my first glance online. Its nothing spectacular but its much better than last years effort.
Did notice that when I was in your shop a while back for reasons I won't discuss. A lot of nice stuff. Better than ours. Nice plain t-shirts with simple logos or text. None of this mad **** we tend to come out with. Our best stuff tends to be done by fan groups rather than the club. Not sure why it's so difficult tbh. Clubs tend to overcomplicate designs in order to make them stand out from the last ones I suppose.
While they're getting more expensive, I'd still rather pay 60-70 for my LOI club merch than the 3 digit numbers some premier League stuff is being sold for. Came across a Man United jersey in sports direct last year for €150. Nearly blew my lid off

Actually don't mind that from Cork. If you're gonna go mad, go proper mad.
Yeah, could be on my own here, but thats a cracking effort from Cork

And the away:

Home is bad, away is good.
Have they ever heard of lighting when taking a photo?
Yeah, in terms of a green and gold mix, hard to top the 2024 home:

That Kerry away jersey is class.
The new Bohs home jersey will only appeal to those that remember Billy Young and that outstanding 1976 team.
So hopefully more XL's than M's on the O'Neills assembly line.
Presumably the Kneecap jersey is next one to be "revealed."
I like both Kerry jerseys to be honest! And that 2024 version.
Also new away just dropped, nice too.
Away one (Kneecap) is gorgeous.
I don't think it's as nice as the previous Bohs Palestine kit - nowhere near it tbh - and personally I think it more looks like Kneecap merch, than Bohs merch; for context, I'm thinking of when Skint records sponsored Brighton - that was a seagulls jersey through and through.
This collaboration doesn't sit right with me for some reason and I can't really get to the nub of it. I've no issue with Bohs maximising their commercial revenue, but I dunno, maybe it's having that common denominator between the two commercial arms of this venture not sitting right; I hope Bohs benefit from this as much as Kneecap will.
(if any of that makes sense).
Interesting - and I couldn't stand the Bohs Palestine kit. Aesthetically, I much prefer this one but I'm not sure I see it in the same league commercially as some of the other ones but I also don't see how it benefits Kneecap that much (like, no more or less than Fontaines for example). Is your problem Dan's involvement on both sides? I think ACLAi's involvement keeps it all passing the sniff test.
Lambert is COO of Bohs and heavily involved in the commercial side of things . He’s also manager of Kneecap and regardless of where some of the money from the release of the shirt goes , it’s also going to benefit the band he manages publicity wise .
I’m not sure how that passes any sniff test
Honestly, hes accountable to the members and the members via the board. i think beyond that there seems to be an acknowledgement he has put trojan work into the club and that the bands hes partnering with dont really need the PR. But thats an outside perspective
It sure doesnt seem that anyone meaningful has a problem with it so in the round thats their right
Sorry - got it in an email from the club and I’m not on social media. Here’s a link to an article: https://m.independent.ie/sport/socce...361964127.html
New Longford kit

Pretty simple but I like it, reminds me of a lot of the Umbro LOI jerseys of the 2000's
