Cathedral had a fantastic pre season beating good opposition from the buisness league and MJL but I suppose one bad result against a 2 time Quad winning “pub team” and we just write there whole season off. No doubt they know what they are capable of. Ye could be right and they could have had a lucky season last year and a few lucky games in pre season this year but it’s comical how no body takes anything into consideration and it’s straight to cutting there heads off. Enjoy the football lads it’s not that complicated
Cathedral and Knocka are bigging themselves up for the big AOH so let's see how they go.
Interesting weekend of games and results ahead.
Glenthorn 3-3 Doolans, great game of ball for the neutral viewer, Glenthorns squad looks considerably younger than recent years
Glenthorn have recruited well they won’t be as bad as people believe, grattan and coachford will be the same. Springfield will be strong so will Knocka and Cathedral but I wouldn’t write off Banteer either. Were flying last year and just seemed to implode, the B team is gone now so the As will be stronger. Watch this space
Gary Goals is his name. He can play 5, 6, 7 or 11 a side and scores all types including penalties.
Hard to say now but with the foxy lad and cuff fella them alone will eat up any defence in any league
Who were they playing?
Let's see who's ready this weekend.
Not sure some shipping leauge team !!

1st match of the season banker to be called off. What a country
Great chance some rain to be fair 20mm in two hours
You saw it yourself that morning after your round of pitch and putt..
Nice attempt at humour…see you in the josh some night for a rockshore or 2 …
Coachford can't fill a team this morning? Anyone confirm this and why?
Il have an alcohol beverage if ya don't mind !! What's this I am hearing about coachford couldn't field a team over gaa match and the called it saying there pitch is unplayable and there pitch is perfect Grattan wanted the change game to there pitch and Aul said no I think the match should be changed i have seen I happen before I think every team should take this into account all team should be treated equally
Good luck with that.
Grattan werr down to play coachford this afternoon down in the glebe. Grattan rang the aul yesterday to say if the glebe isnt playable today that grattan pitch is available. Coachford rang the referee this saying pitch is unplayable the referee rang tom fitzgerald of aul to say pitch is unplayable and his words were exactly there is a few games around the northside after been called off over the weather so id presume grattan pitch is unplayable aswell, so grattan got no opportunity to take the home game even though was walked at 9am this morning and it was playable. So as an organisation they didnt follow there own protocol if home team pitch is unplayable the away team are contacted to see if there pitch is playable but grattan didnt even get that opportunity, so as an organisation serring rules thats they expect every team in league to follow and they cant even follow them themselves, so if if your someone on the outside looking in at this situation CORRUPTION comes to mind its happening for years with cork aul and coachford the darling club of cork aul that cant do any wrong absolutely scandalous behaviour from our organisation that we represent week in and week out and pay our entry fees every year and not treated fairly its a disgrace.
Sur they are looking after ucc aswell sur they wont play a game till end of September/october but we have to play games when our players are on holidays etc. Beggars belief it is.
Correct me please if I'm wrong but last season the only way a game was called of was if the referee inspected the pitch.
Must of been a lot of fuzzy heads this morning after last nites ? party.
All teams should be treated equally.
Coachford and Grattan should have taken place by all accounts with a pitch available and its the same **** as every other season with games being pulled when it doesnt suit a team. What's stopping the next team doing it? And the next? Week 1!!!
Coachford have caused enough problems with Mossie Linane and Inter League Competition this year, 2 ruined competiitions.
The college should be playing now too as you said.
I’m off the understanding and always was the case if a pitch for a league game is unplayable the game is off by rule.
However last year video footage was required to show the pitch was unplayable.
Secondly if a pitch was soft after the huge amounts of rain the fell yesterday any club would be foolish to play a game on it.
It would cut up and be in a poor condition after game 1 what chance would it have in December
Just after been made aware of that there was the awards night last night in the klin so no doubht as the free pints were flowing last night the aul told coachford dnt worry that ye have players missing over gaa match we will sort it for ye??
Well by rule is not inspection from ref!! I alway remember if a game was being called the ref will still have to check y should it change today for coachford what make ya think it wad soft grattans pitch was perfect and to my knowledge coachford have better grounds grattan is bog as is!! by right ref and both teams should be down coachford with full teams on refs book is that not the rule anyway I thought it was but maybe the couldn't field a team
Home team makes the decision on the pitch yes the league can send the ref but rarely happens.
Video required after Christmas last season.
No the fixtures aren’t made by a coachford man.
If AUL had any sense they would have cancelled all fixtures for today last night to avoid creating a mess. Nobody would have batted an eyelid with the weather we had in fairness.
Back to today's game Waterloo and cathedral finished 2 all don't think any these teams will put it up to knocka hopefully knocka and Castleview will go ahead between these 2 I think
Lads what’s with the holy Mary stuff it’s 3 points up for garbs or a loss of 3 points if you can get an advantage over a club I say you take it .. end of
