The Luton defense was absolutely woeful for the goals they conceded. Only saw the highlights and id be pointing the finger at the players around him. Not the best of places for him to be learning his trade
Has probably joined Luton at the wrong time really. Just after they've had their moment in the Premier League and could afford him with the TV and parachute money, but it feels like they're unlikely to return to those heights again any time soon.
Doubt he thought there was much chance he'd be heading back to League 1 when he signed for Luton last summer. Potentially might not stay on, but Luton have money and may not need to sell him.
It's turned out to be a disappointing move. I wonder what other options were available to McGuinness before he agreed to join Luton Town? Luton are unlikely to sell a player they just forked out £10m for either. Not that anyone is likely to spend that sort of a money on a League One player anyway.

Quite a collection of Irish players at Sheffield United all of a sudden. McGuinness has signed, Ogbene and Barry have joined on loan (and Barry has declared for Ireland). And Cannon seems to still be there too, as Preston couldn't afford to pay his 25k a week wages to loan him in.
Wilder going back to Sheffield United should be good news for the Irish lads there, he should hopefully sort out the mess they're in.
What an embarrassment for the owners though, Wilder gets them within minutes of promotion to the Premier League in May and then they sack him for the utterly useless Selles, only to have to go crawling back to him again by mid September.

It's interesting to compare Cannon and Parrott since they played together at Preston a few years ago. Cannon was miles better than Parrott at the time, and has made more than enough money to be set for life since then with his two big money moves to Leicester and Sheffield United. Parrott will only have made a fraction of what Cannon has made, and certainly nobody in the Championship was going to be paying £10m for him based on his performances there.
But, in going to the Netherlands, Parrott has moved well ahead of Cannon in terms of performances and potentially has a lucrative career ahead of him in a top European league, whereas there's every likelihood that Cannon will end up as a Championship player long term.
