Congratulations to doolins cow on a magnificent result in fai great credit due to all there.
They have a very strong team, Jamie Murphy has been a serious addition ontop of Tony O’rielly and James Cotter 3 strikers who have played senior MSL and would still get into most MSL. Senior teams. The tight astro pitch also suits them you’d have to fancy them against any junior side at home.
2/1 cow now nice crowd here.
All over cow out 3/2 from defence of a corner away side broke and scored ..all Westport last 15 deserved it at the end .
A shame that the Cow couldn't hold onto a lead twice. Thats no Cork junior side left in the FAI now . No Cork junior side will ever win that again . I dont think a Cork side will even make it to the semis in my lifetime
Arguably the 2 best sides in cork go head to head Sunday in knocknaheeny should be a cracker glen to win this all day .
That should be some game. 10.45am not the best time to draw a crowd of support for either team though . I fancy the Glen to beat Knocknaheeny . Lynam and Mellerick doing some job up there at the moment. How long it will last? Who knows? They tend to implode after a year or so after P.C. leaves
Any report from the game yesterday? 2-1 Knocka .
Cow v Village in Munster Junior Cup
Some game that will be. will this decide who the best junior team in that part of the city? A fella told me they have both beaten the Glen who many think are the team to beat up there?
Agreed, Premier League champions are best team and looking good again this year.but who would be best in Mayfield, Blackpool, Ballyvolane area? Plenty junior teams up there Leeds, Glenthorn, Marys, etc i wouldnt know them all up there.
Okay, you're a big fan of Knocknaheeny, i get it, but nothing over here on the southside?? Bit cheeky. Pearse Celtic are a bit better than Nothing. So are Greenwood.
Huge game in the premier this weekend with the champs Knocknaheeney home to the up and coming Coachford. Looking forward to a cracker!
Looks like your 2 teams are going to battle for the premier a league. i see the Glen are home to Blackpool tomorrow so should be big favourites there.
Some display by Coachford up in Kilmore Rd lads. New kids on the block!! Played Knocka off the park, way fitter and faster. Knocka had man sent off at 2-0 which quenched any hope of a come back. Very disappointed with Knocka, 1st time seeing them this season, expected much more.
Poor result for the so called best side in the AUL. Surely only matter of time before Coachford go MSL too have the set up and the underage structure look to have the players now.
They do lie 1st week in February, still a lot a football left to play!
Are they not champions..then until new champs are installed ther the best ..plus what they have done over last few seasons tell people who know the game that league don't lie ..granted the most important game a
Of a campaign is you next game .and it's early days we all know that.
What a draw in the AOH quarter final Coachford v Glen Celtic. Has to be the tie of the round. Presume Coachford will be favourites after their result v Knocka and being at home.
AOH DRAW
Macroom v City Wanderers
Cathedral v Bohs
Coachford v Glen Celtic
Boscos/Southcoast v Village
The result depends on the referee ??? Not at all. Too many people constantly looking for excuses and the referee is the easiest to blame. Ray Murphy reffed and did very well the Knocka v Coachford game. Had no option with sending off and put up with some abuse for it. Him. Richie Murphy, John Thompson , Trevor Cotter , Timmy Kelleher, all good refs and plenty more adequate guys out there. Dont know much about the Tom Macarty fella. Ive seen fellas on the line for some clubs on to the ref from the first decision, they are the problem not the ref.
Don’t tell the glen that! They will fancy themselves, but should be a good tuff game get nothing easy off both sides!
Jesus Lads, it was Ciara last week and looks like Dennis this week will cause another wash out. Presume Coachford will go to an all weather for the game v Regional. Wont want it moved to Limerick.
Not all, the newer astros have excellent drainage eg, Carrigaline and Lakewood id say.
its the wind will be the problem if its moved to astro! Coachford normally dont like moving it off grass as a club but you never know.
