Rathkeale drawing at home to Granagh bad start for them compounded by Abbeyfeale putting NCW Town to the sword in NCW.
Anyone at either of those games? Were Rathkeale or NCW Town missing players??
Askeaton B 1 - 0 Askeaton A?? Is that right??
What are full results.
Yeah askeaton b beat askeaton a 1-0.
Think the A team were missing a few due to gaa
I thought the squad selections were a bit odd with Askeaton. It's as if they are attempting to have 2 teams challenging at the business end. There was a number of A team players that were nowhere near the quality of the B team players in general ability.
Rathkeale dropping points is huge. There has been very little room for error from the top 3 teams in the past 2 seasons outside of taking points off each other. It's very early but it certainly gives Abbey and Broadford a boost. Adare and Kilcornan look to have put up good battles in their first outings, anyone at these games? I think the folding of teams will have benefitted some teams and could make this the strongest premier in a few years. Glin have picked up some top players going by the paper, could they push on and challenge near the top? Granagh and Kilcornan seem to have gained players from folding clubs also
Kilcornan will improve as the season goes on I think. Gained a lot of players from Kildimo from what I seen as well as two from Ballysteen. Only one was there Sunday though.
Adare have a few to come back once gaa is over apparently.

A 'B' team beating an 'A' team?? Who's picking those teams/ squads like? I see someone saying that they maybe looking at a 1-2 at the top of the table for the end of the season!
Glin always threatened to put in a good season, losing Paul Sheehan a big blow.. but always there or thereabouts in the cup competitions and can beat any team on their day.
Report on Newcastle v Abbey.

Think someone said that the 4 games for the A's was suspended in this case
Yeah they are signed with one or the other. They can transfer up until the window shuts
I heard that the referee involved in the case back in abbey last season is bringing Abbeyfeale to court.
From what Iv heard that case is about to get extremely messy. I hope it doesn’t lead to any more issues for the league as a whole going forward
Any results ?
Creeves vs Pallaskenry abandoned. A spectator refused to leave or something along those lines
Abbeyfeale out of the FAI.

Wasn't it the same man in the middle for the Kildimo-Granagh(?) game that was abandoned last season??
:D no witness to confirm if anything happened but enough to go to court  - he hasn't been back in his capacity as ref this season has he?
If it was abandoned because of abuse and a spectator being asked; then refusing to leave i'd side with the referee... why take abuse? Without the referees we have no league...
In relation to the Abbeyfeale issues, hope it gets sorted in a satisfactory manner for all parties concerned...
Hopefully whatever you've heard about it getting extremely messy doesn't come to fruition Ballistinianlad.
It was a different ref langerdan. By all accounts there’s two different stories about what happened but look if the ref asks you to leave just go. Can’t imagine either team being happy.
How long was gone in the game, What sanctions can be opposed on the club.
Happened in the first half. Score was 0-0
Back to square one I see.
There will always be 2 versions to every story Ballistinianlad, the clubs version and the referees. By all accounts the guy in question has been fairly "vocal" at Pallas games in the past. And yeah Shearer, looks like no lessons have been learned from last year.
Desmond league is turning into a ****show🙈
FAI Junior Cup weekends are always good. Interesting to see how Desmond League sides shape-up against their Clare and Kerry counter-parts.
Hard to make a judgement on the Kerry teams as their League hasn't started with long (they were still playing cup games after the Desmond League ended, would love to know the story there).
We had the same situation a couple of seasons ago, we were at home, a spectator was giving out to the ref. over some of his decisions. The ref. asked the player to leave on this the spectator entered the playing area, members of the oposing team stopped him getting near the ref., who then abandoned the match.
After the game being abandoned, a member of the other team who was going for promotion, verbaly attacked and threatened him the spectator that he would break every window in his house if it meant they would lose out on promotion.
The other club claimed afterwards he was not one of their supporters, the result was the ML ruled that the game had to be replayed and we had to pay the ref. in the 2nd game as well.
Abbeyfeale 0 Kilcornan 1.
What a result for Kilcornan. Fair play
Cracking result for kilcornan against abbeyfeale. Right job for them. Granagh and broadford had good wins in the fai junior against listowel celtic and bunratty.
Adare beat Tralee Dynamos 2-0. Fantastic result!
Fine win for Kilcornan away to Abbey. Some good wins for DL sides in FAI although Shountrade giving a walkover doesn't look good. Shannonside obliterated by Killarney Celtic last night. You'd have to question the logic of entering a side that struggled in Division 1 last season.
Exactly! Good wins for DL sides but carrig and Granagh played 3rd tier Clare sides - could say the same about those clubs entering into FAI. Imagine Bunratty had to play Killarney.
Good result for Kilcornan, first win the premier I think is it? Abbey and Rathkeale dropping unexpected points already. Exciting start to the premier 19/20, nice to see and you’d almost forget all the negativity last year......
Some good results for Desmond league teams today, however I think teams outside premier divisions should have to play one or two preliminary rounds before entering 1st round proper. Some of the scores in the district league with teams hitting double figures is no good for anyone
Some good results yesterday in the FAI. I can see peoples' viewpoint regarding some of the wins being over lesser sides, but I want the Desmond sides to get as many handy draws as possible so they can all get as far as possible.
Good win for Broadford in their first game of the season. I can't recall the last time they had a good run in the competition but I think they're more than capable of making a run as far as the last 16. With regards to the league, with Abbeyfeale, Rathkeale and Newcastle all having dropped points, Broadford are really waiting in the long grass.
Hate to see any club having to give a walkover, especially this early in the season although a trip to Ennis doesn't help gathering numbers.
I think some clubs enter the fai to try and get a good away day. That’s why I find it funny they couldn’t get enough interest to travel.
A Saturday night out in Killarney probably goes down as a successful run in the FAI for Shannonside. I think it's the main reason anyone in the lower divisions enters the competition. Shountrade probably had the same idea but I'm sure they had hurling championship and were unlucky with the clash.
The Abbey result yesterday and the Rathkeale result last week I think shows improvement in the smaller teams rather than stronger teams falling apart. Other teams folding has certainly strengthened surrounding clubs. I don't think there will be a change in the teams challenging at the top but I do think the gap to the teams behind will be much smaller. Still fancy Rathkeale to win out in the end
A lot of people have probably seen this before but great stats on all past players on Ballingarry's excellent website.
