Carew park really struggling I hope they can turn it around, they were always competing at the top. Hats off to the lads that are keeping the club going.

I realise you can't just invite every decent club from Clare, but it's surely in Newmarket Celtic's best interest to move to Limerick?
That Clare League is a bit of a joke, they're running away with it already. They won their seventh Clare Cup in a row last season ffs.
Obviously it's their own decision as they also have the benefit of easier paths out of town in the Munster Junior and the FAI.
Thoughts?
Sure why dont limerick teams move out to Clare altogether.its called LDL for a reason
Why not sure then Pike and Boro can pick off their best players and they will end up like Nenagh.
If Nenagh had kicked on from their first season in premier then they wouldn’t have this problem so it’s of their own making. Different breed in Clare by and large, a lot more loyalty.
Blueboy is correct,Nenagh came in in a blaze of glory ,3 junior teams and had a decent enough first season.......regular defeats ,something they wouldnt have been used to in North Tipp, and the whole vibe changes ,now left with 1 junior team and they are struggling with many of their best players gone.Only way that changes is winning trophies and no matter who you are thats difficult in Limerick given the power of the more successful clubs...and they will attract the best players. The likes of Newmarket have a ready made journey out of their area in the big cups, thats not the case in limerick.
1 player from Nenagh with boro.your point.??
A lot more loyalty alright. Im sure McGann and Mulready and a few of them other Clare lads are very loyal to Clare.
And Paddy O’Malley. So 3 players? That it?
Football is a funny game
Ryan and O Loughlin..lol
A 15 nil score line in limerick premier league tonight........don’t be fooled about all the guff about pike they will win no fai junior soccer is on its knees in limerick enjoy lads
Sherrif had a big win themselves tonight. Massive defeat for Charleville but the managers of both teams and more importantly the referee should be ashamed of themselves. At what stage did it seem like a good idea to play on? 8-0? 11-0? 14-0?
Game in Munster needs to be reorganised. Some clubs in Limerick should clearly be playing at intermediate level. Same with the likes of St Michael’s, Clonmel Town, Carrick United, Killarney Celtic etc. Time for an MSL North and South league with the winners of each playing off to be crowned Munster Senior League champions. This kind of structure did exist in years gone by. Every week there are ridiculous score lines coming out of Limerick. It's got to the stage where teams don't want to be promoted to the Premier in Limerick as they would prefer to stay in 1A.
It won’t happen because the clubs with all the resources here in the city are full of players and managers who couldn’t make it at a higher level and now think they are fantastic because they are hammering teams on completely different playing field.......and the funny thing is the standard in town has never been worse
Another walkover in premier this morning, yet we hear all this guff about it being the best junior league in the country spare me
Premier league by name only Boro 15 nil up and match blown up with 20 minutes to go also Nenagh beaten 10 2 and Kilmallock beaten by a 2 A team and last but not least Carew give a walk over.
All the hype about Balla and Pike match with Pike winning 2 nil and Pike playing most of the second half with ten men and never looked like losing.
Also no Oscar Traynor manager could be found for the limerick league so Janesboro F.C. will now represent Limerick in the Oscar Traynor trophy.
Has anybody got todays teams for the balla pike game
McNamara, hughes, meehan, guerin, lucy, donnan, hughes,f itzgerald,byrnes,nolan,noonan,...…...Neville,malle y,donavon, patterson,Donavon, kavanagh, mcgann, daly,r ainsford,grant,hanrahan,.....Pike easily the better team until McGann sent off (harshly, given Fitzgerald should have gone prior to halftime)by which time they 2 up.
What's wrong kennycon? Did I bruise your ego or something? At least the boro lads get another shot at an fai tournament, this league becomes more laughable as the weeks go by
Standard at the top isn't bad at the bottom it's poor and the gap has opened up , pike won the Munster junior which I would consider a very good trophy, carew won the touhy cup the year before AA won it. Balla were going for 3 Lawson cups in a row and doing ok this year, yes the gap has opened up and times have changed. Boro, pike, balla, regional and fairview all have good sides, the Desmond league is by far worse, the dublin league was dominated by sheriff for years, st Michaels have the league won already lol.
Fair point KC, I did include the managers when I was dishing out the shame. Obviously they didn’t ask or didn’t agree to blow it up before the 15th goal. The standard at the bottom of the premier is bad. The scorelines show that. In the middle it’s middling with little or no chance of winning anything. At the top it’s decent but that’s it. 3 or 4 good teams, same as most leagues in the region. A North Munster Senior League is a great idea. Let’s see if the big teams are ok with only one team winning that league every year. They’ll come running back looking for a Charleville to make them feel better.

Different manager there I think but yes, what goes around comes around. Carew and Charleville to go down at this stage? Didn’t Charleville hammer Nenagh recently too?
[QUOTE=Fairkop;1979621]If pike beat boro league is over because the teams at the bottom half have no chance of taking any points off the top teams, I can see pike cleaning up TBH. Would there be a chance of a senior league amongst the elite teams in Munster or would that cost too much?.
[QUOTE=Kennycon;1979715]You'd probably have a lot of clubs from the other regions looking to sponsors, selling more lottery tickets etc.
I'm sure the 'benefactors' would help out around town.
Could be a step forward with regard to a proper football pyramid in Ireland, but everything said here is hypothetical so.
Surely the dines should represent the league now in the next match that other crowd are hopeless
Like I said already pike will win no fai
Huge chance missed by the View to get a rare win over Pike today,to be 2 goals ahead against ten men and get pegged back ….good point for Prospect v high flying Regional.Boro the big winners from those results after beating Aisling.
Fairview keeper that stepped in for Ryan today was outstanding,i watched Ryan the last few weeks and he has been very average to say the least
Pike will still win the league imo
I still can't believe Aidan Ryan didn't bring in a few central defenders last summer, what he has is absolutely abysmal and he no's it and it will end up costing him his job
Poor result for regional
Another 3 points for Derek Hannan's dines last Saturday evening,If there giving out awards for manager of the season this year Derek has to be a strong candidate
It’s a poor league this year overall lads. Carew, Charleville, Nenagh just haven’t shown up. Carew and Charleville were in a cup final last year for god sake.
Did everyone emigrate lol
