Bull****!!
if that was the case, Rovers, Bohs, Pats or Bray at home would be the only games they show!

EatYerGreens didn't his greens this morning it seems.
Good coverage from EirSport. RTÉ are only junior football level.
At least one Bohs v Rovers match tends to get aired every season, no matter how both teams are doing.
It's hard to justify airing Pats at the moment, and Bray is like a graveyard.
Whether it's RTE, Setanta or Eir Sports, it's denying facts to pretend that there isn't a disproportionate coverage of games involving teams closer to Dublin than those further away. Without doubt the stand-out game tonight was Derry v Cork. Yet Dundalk v Harps got aired. Let's not pretend that distance isn't a factor.
If Soccer Republic can have cameras covering games at Maginn, probably no reason why a live match couldn't be done there.
Eir showed a game in Cork last week. They've shown four games this season and none of them have been in Dublin. RTE have shown five, one of them in Dublin. Seven out of the nine games have been in Cork or Dundalk, three in Cork and four in Dundalk. Only one of the games has not involved one of those teams. Understandably they're focusing on the league's two big teams.
But, yeah, you're right, they just can't bear to leave Dublin.
For the record, RTE have one stationary camera in Maginn Park. Any live broadcast of a game requires at least two cameras. If I was to make an educated guess, I'd say both RTE and Eir have looked at Maginn Park and decided they couldn't produce a broadcast that would meet their own minimum standards.
Same reason why FAI Junior/Intermediate Cup games aren't shown live regardless of the level of interest. TV channels aren't going to make themselves look bad just so people on message boards can tick their boxes.
Stop letting facts get in the way of his point.
There are only a couple of grounds in the league that can actually host a live broadcast. It's almost always down to the floodlight lux capacity. Maginn Park doesn't meet League of Ireland standards and would never be able to host a live game. Have you seen the views from the temporary press area alone? The press can't see the action from one of the 18 yard boxes. Besides all of this, there is just about space for one camera there. And it would also be a pretty brutal reflection on the league to be showing a game from Maginn Park. As bad as some grounds are in the league, showing a junior pitch on live TV would look absolutely awful. It already looks terrible on Soccer Republic.
Eir sport have been very good in their coverage. RTE are just abysmal at the best of times.
Let's also not gloss over the fact they want to show games that'll have big crowds and big atmospheres. You can guarantee that with Rovers v Bohs. It's a no brainer to show that game.
Any word on any European games being televised next week?
Tends to be the way with other sports as well. People love to have something to moan about for the sake of it. Cork City and Dundalk are box office, the league's finest silver. It's very understandable that they are showcased more often than not. They have set the standard for others.
Cork games v Sligo , Harps and Shamrock Rovers all to be shown by RTE
Harps v Cork moved to 7:15pm due to floodlight issue with live TV coverage.
It's hardly ignored? We're building a new stadium for f*ck sake.
Happening for ten years now.
I've no idea when it will be completed. I'm not building it.
It was announced around 2007 I think.
For what it's worth, there was workers on the site last week.
What's awful though, we're far further along to having a suitable ground for LOI than Dundalk are.
That's not awful it's good for Harps and the league when it happens.
This isn't a point scoring exercise the floodlights in Finn Park and the Carlisle impede matches in my opinion and it shouldn't be accepted but is, like many things in this league. They wouldn't pass for Europe so why league games? I know most clubs are skint btw
Carlisle lights were missing at least one lamp per stand (eight stands) coming to the end of last season, but they have now all been replaced.
I've had trouble getting RTE when in England.
Does the RTE international app stream live for LOI games? Don't want to subscribe if it isn't showing it live.
any advice welcomed. Rte seems to be blocked on sky tv over here.
When was the last live game from Ballybofey?
A Dundalk fan criticising an opposition clubs' ground ha ha ha :D
This game must be in danger with the rotten weather, never been the greatest pitch with a drop of rain.
Galway United are the only team not to be shown live this season.
Turners X, Oriel, Tallaght have all had numerous games. Richmond Park, Hunky Dory Park & Finn Park have all had one game.
Superb from the panel tonight, not one of them picked up that the cork v dlk match will be cancelled on 15/09. 'That's a mouth watering game'
It might be but it won't be their second next game, that will almost certainly be away to Limerick on 23/09. That's the match they can win it if they beat Rovers and Dom beat Pats.
Peter Collins at his pompous best asking and answering his own questions
No live game in Markets Field this season.
