US are dicking us around a bit, much better patterns of passing and movement.

Blood and thunder by Clark. O'Dea-esque.
Our play isn't as fluid, but the US passed like drains for large periods of the first half. The goal came out of nowhere and they've regained their composure since.
Once again we just don't have anyone getting on the ball with fluidity or regularity. McGoldrick, Brady, Pikington and Stokes have done well with some ball to feet but no one interlinks or overlaps except occasionally down each wing.
A perfect pass through from McGoldrick and a lovely finish to match from Pilkington for our goal. We were all over the place for Diskerud's goal; criminal giving the ball away there like that after a throw-in.
Murphy should have put his chance away, but US could have had another through Altidore as well. Not much else to shout about from our perspective.
Not sure why Given started myself. I imagine Randolph will play the second half.
I imagine Elliot will. He missed his honeymoon.
Given started because he's the second or third choice keeper so is more likely to see actual gametime. Plus he's rusty so could use the minutes.
The real question is why is he even in the squad.
Put Coleman on the wing and move Stokes up front. Oh i forgot. We must not incur the wrath of Martinez.
Remind me not to praise Stokes' on-the-ball ability again - gives it away handy three times in four minutes.
Hey hey hey - good pressure, really good goal. G'wan Brady. He's looking a class act going forward. Lovely assist again from McGoldrick.
Not a bad period of play there. Good finish from Brady.
Mcgoldrick very impressive. 2 assists
Bit of a fragmented performance particularly at the back but interesting all the same
Christie doing well also. McGoldrick and himself could be very useful additions to the Emerald Isle roster.
Seems to be a good crowd there, plenty of school kids as well which is good to see.
Christ who missed that header/shoved off by altidore
Liking setanta coverage, refreshing change to rte
Pretty sure Elliot was cut from the squad post-preliminary.
Good save from Shay there.
Great showing from the two new boys. Two excellent assists from McGoldrick. 90% of strikers would have gone for that second goal themselves
Don't think we should be playing Robbie Brady left back again any time soon
The "current squad" on Wiki has Elliot discarded. If there's an official list somewhere, I'm not sure.
Good showing from McGoldrick. Great addition.
OMG!!!
Shay's still got it.
Aw, so unlucky for Long. That would have been an amazing goal.
Yes, good man, James!
GOAL!!!!!!!!!! :excitement:
Shane Long deserved better, that was a great run and hit.
The game has completely opened up, but entertaining stuff nonetheless.
Longs run reminded me of that run from Gareth Bale, except Bales scored.
There's Elliot about to come on. Confirms he's in the squad at least anyway, ha. He should have started. Shay played well though.
There's Eliot now, he was hiding on you Danny.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
The Brady-for-Poland campaign starts here.
That was a goal.
Cracking free and you had the feeling he'd score it too. Say what you like about him defensively but he certainly offers something going forward.
Maybe we should sync our streams at the beginning of each half.
Feeling a lot more positive than after the Scotland match :untroubled:
Brady for Poland!
Edit: But not at left back
The American analyst for ESPN is pretty depressed. They're hammering their team for getting thrashed by an Irish second string.
