Can i Do the my friends cousin thing here?
Ha, by "each", I meant all three of them. Christie talked about racism he personally experiences as well (although not from Ireland fans, I don't think).
You mean you hope not :P

Doherty will surely make the cut now with Ward and Christie out?
Back in training at Derby : http://www.dcfc.co.uk//news/article/...n-3515060.aspx
After coming back from an injury to one ankle he injured the other one.
Has been playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks.

Christie went to visit Séamus Coleman in hospital before the Iceland game and clearly has a good rapport with his captain: http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc...-35574403.html

If the situation persists, MON needs to take a look at Doherty - even if he is playing at LB ATM.
Is that really fair - http://www.soccerbase.com/players/pl...layer_id=50157 he seems to have a fair amount of apps for a side presently outside the relegation zone. Do you feel the new manager is moving away from him lately maybe ?
Hasn't started a league game since the days of Marco Polo, but in all honesty I don't think he's the proper option for MON at right back.
It's turning into a conundrum. Maybe Matt Doherty, but that's hardly going to happen given that he hasn't even been capped yet.
Perhaps Andy Boyle?
I really can't imagine Martin O'Neill will care about what is happening at Derby. Christie has never let us down when called upon. He'll play if fit. Doherty has been in a few squads now so he'll get an opportunity in a few friendlies while Coleman is out.
I think it's pretty clear Christie is MON's preferred RB option regardless. With Seamus's injury you'd imagine he will prioritise giving time to the next in line in the summer friendlies, but Cyrus is the man for Austria.
Doherty deserves a chance to audition in some friendlies . Lets have look at him .
Very interesting article about Christie.

Getting some grief online for an interview in the Irish Sun
Can't find the article itself, but there's some extracts on DCFCFans here: https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/26237-christies-future/
and in the Derby Telegraph: http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/derb...ail/story.html
Nothing he said struck me as out of the ordinary.
I think he's getting a bit of slack for calling himself the best right back in the division (on his day), which was mentioned at the end of the Independent article as well. A lot of the Derby supporters haven't been impressed with his form over the past couple of seasons and think he came across arrogant. Others are more supportive. Much ado about nothing really, Derby is a very passionate football city and they can be quick to stick the knives in when things aren't going well.
I presume this is the article in The Sun, more or less the same as The Independent - https://www.google.ie/amp/s/www.thes...cle-errol/amp/
Christie responded (needlessly I think) on Twitter with the longest sentence in history - https://twitter.com/cyruschristie/st...76393471045633
Seems to have deleted his Twitter account
watching the highlights on RTE2 and didn't realise how tall Christie is, checked it online and he's 6"2!
Don't trust everything you read.
Murphy is apparently 6 ft. 3 yet the Mexican defender, "Perez", who is apparently 6 ft. 2 was taller than him by an inch.
Gary Breen and Richard Dunne were on TV recently.
Breen, who is apparently only 6 ft. 1, towered over Dunne, apparently 6 ft. 2.
Diego Reyes I meant to say.

It look to me as if the the defender go a touch on Christie's goal v Uruguary, might have been going in anyway though.
Can't be sure from the video though.

Jim Beglin thought Coates got a slight touch, but I don't think so myself. I think he swung at it off-balance and missed. I didn't notice the direction or momentum of the ball change from the moment Christie kicked it. Even if he did get the slightest of touches, it was going in anyway.
His uncle Errol Christie passed away earlier from cancer, RIP
He's good enough for prem I reckon. got a lot of potential

Inevitable after they signed Andre Wisdom. That might not be a bad move for him though.
Like that move myself. Working under someone like Gary Monk will be great too. I think that's an upgrade.
undergoing a medical at the moment according to Boro's twitter: https://twitter.com/boro
I have to say, he seems like a good lad, but I think he is a poor player. His positional sense for an international player is one of the worst I seen playing for Ireland
