Thread is gone very quite lately, both Nenagh sides progressed in MJC at the weekend with good wins, the league looks Towns to lose. Big game in the 1st division this week Town v Roscrea any thoughts ?
Yeah agreed town are in the driving seat , They are playing Thurles away at the weekend , maybe they can take points off them .. Fingers crossed .. We have Clodiagh at home in the mjc at the weekend to progress .. Roscrea are certs to be promoted no matter what happens in that game .. I ll go with a roscrea win ..
Ya id fancy Roscrea as well, we played Town B in munster a while back and beat them handy enough, cant see Thurles getting anything off Town A but if they do slip up we better make sure were in a position to take advantage. Clodiagh can be tricky but id expect ye to win that.
Was at the Roscrea v Town game last Sunday. Decent game of football. Town took their chances well, but Roscrea look like a decent team. They have some very good players
Town won 3-1. Scored twice in the 1st 20 mins or so before Roscrea pulled one back just before half time. Crouchy scored their 3rd with about 15 mins to go, but they were made fight all the way for the win
Clough v Celtic this week, winner will be the only team left to challenge Town i think, a draw would rule both teams out so massive game for both clubs
Realistically, this is the game to decide runners up?
The way we played last sunday , we would be lucky to finish in the top 4 !! :) Hopefully it was just a once off game .
Played against Roscrea A twice this season. Very good team going forward. Will no doubt be favourites in Div 1 and will more than hold their own in premier next season. Was still surprised they started in Div 1 with their c team in div 3.
I'm new to this site lads, good reading in this thread. Sundays game could have really went either way but pitch really doesn't help. Is it true ye are switching to a new venue in cloughjordan?
I see celtic b are down to play Roscrea this weekend so no luck in having earlier result in season stand?
Cheers, big game for us Sunday vs Borrisokane. Last Sunday won't be worth anything if we don't take three points in this game. It's a pity about your game against Roscrea. I heard what happened and if it's true it's bad form that result didn't stand.
clough 2-2 celtic league is over now, clough were the better side in the 1st half and were 1 up at half time and had a few good chances to extend their lead. We came into the game in the 2nd half and were level through a Niddy Ryan penalty, both side were pushing for the winner and we went ahead when Rico Casey finished well with time almost up before clough scored in injury time. Not to take anything away form clough but we feel the equalizer should have being disallowed and im sure clough would agree, the player that scored clearly controlled the ball with both hands and the ref was standing maybe 10 yards form it with a clear view of it, very frustrating to say the least
Pity ye didn't get result for the sake of fairness. We made hard work of it. 3 up at half time and almost threw it away and not for the first time season. Important 3 pts. We have Roscrea in cup Sunday. Another tough match. Derby match for ye, best of luck.
Think a draw might have been the fairest result but absolutely no good to both teams .. Although as was said on this earlier i dont think any of us would have caught town anyways .. On our last goal i didnt have the best of views on it as i was further down the field but going by yer reactions ye clearly thought our lad handballed it .. Ref wasnt great for both teams but look that happens i suppose .. Everyone makes mistakes .. We were probably the happier of the 2 teams at the end because of the time we equalised ..
Celtic 3-0 Lough Derg Danny Ryan, Marky Walsh and Sean Healy peno, all goals came in the 2nd half and we were made work hard for it by a Lough Derg side that seem to have improved since we played them earlier in the season
Celtic 6-1 Moneygall Marky Walsh 4, Danny Ryan and Stephen Flynn good win which bring us 4 points off town after their lost to Sallypark yesterday, great result for sallypark
Is that both Nenagh teams that Sallypark have beat this season?
Celtic 4-0 BT Harps Danny Ryan 2, Mary Walsh, Sean Healy
Great win for us, 3 nil up at half time but BT Harps came at us in the 2nd half and we had to defend well to hold them out, 1 point off Town now maybe it isnt over although they have a game in hand so still in the driving seat
I was reading the free newspaper "The Finest" and they have an article on how to improve North Tipp soccer. They mentioned there was a facebook group discussing it - anyone come across that, I figured it might be why there have been so few posts on here lately?
It's north tipp soccer, not sure who maintains page.
watched town v Celtic last week i see Celtics game plan of fighting, bullying and attacking people has not altered much since the last time i seen them play the league should not allow the club to continue in this manner its a disgrace
its already clear form your previous posts about celtic that you have some agenda, we had a player sent off in extra time and our club has already dealt with that player other than that it was a well contested game, your due a visit to specsavers shortly I reckon
new blood after looking at your previous comments i see you have an involvement with Town and Janesboro, so id say its safe to say you would be biased towards both clubs.I am not involved with either Nenagh team, however I was at the town v celtic game last weekend and to me it looked like a fiercely contested game with one incident which saw the celtic man been sent off which was a fair decision, even do both players could have left the field as both went head to head, only the celtic player was the more aggressive and so was sent off which is fair enough. Plus your comment off 'bullying' is ridiculous as it was a senior game and in any senior game in any sport how can you accuse people of being bullies, surely at senior level in any physical sport players are able to stick up for themselves as they are now men. So your comment there is completely farcical/absurd and unfair towards celtic as it was a good hotly contested game where both sets of players played very hard but fair, barring the one incident I have already mentioned. Your comment also seems to be purely directed at trying to get Celtic punished by north Tipp which is down right childish and to me shows you have a major dislike of celtic. From what i have been told by a man I respect and would believe, i heard after the game 1 of the Nenagh AFC supporter's was the real disgrace and maybe north tipp should look into punishing this supporter or the club but I suppose you have no idea what incident i am referring to here.
In regards to the Nenagh AFC supporter, players from both teams get abuse from both sidelines so I think that is an unfair comment. From what I hear and saw on one occasion this Nenagh AFC supporter was grabbed by both Celtic players and management during and after the game (by the clubhouse) so to single out that one supporter you refer to is unfair. These are well contested derby games that heat up both on and off the field. Get the facts Blackman before you call people a disgrace!!
From what i have seen and heard from this supporter i fully believe i have my facts right, as this man was behind the goals at the game abusing and sticking his tongue out at two to three celtic players, so u wouldn't agree that behavior like this from a man in his fifty's or sixties is a disgrace????also if a supporter has already caused problems during the game why would this supporter be waiting around after the game (by the clubhouse) as you put it yourself, id be ninety nine percent certain he wasn't there to apologize but to have another go at the celtic players who i presume were already down enough over losing the game. So my facts seem to be got there.DISGRACE.
