4 separate strikers scored in the same game....that's a bit strange considering most of Shamrock Rovers strikers seem to be having problems with scoring at all this year.
Rovers got in very easily over the top in the first half but had nobody in the middle to convert crosses. Full backs couldn't handle three upfront.
Quigley sat back behind Zayed in the second half and orchestrated things well. The difference in play for Rovers was interesting irrespective of opposition. Dundalk were much more solid when the right back...no 2...went off and Boyle came on.
Leinster Snr Cup
Shelbourne V St Patrick's Athletic
Monday, August 19th
Tolka Park
Kick Off: 8:00pm
Oh and if you missed it yesterday Wayside beat Bray 1-0. They'll host Rovers in the semi
Shels 1-2 Pats. Pats into final.
I would imagine its Tzee Mustapha. He already played in the LSC with us so he would of been cup tied. (Presuming there is a cup tied rule in the LSC)
Statement from Shelbourne FC - http://www.shelbournefc.ie/news.php?id=2600
The ghost of Ollie Byrne is not happy.
GAA teams would make at least 3 different appeals. Fair play to Shels.
FAI / Leinster FA considering a "taking the game into disrepute" charge against Shels for demeaning the Leinster Senior Cup
When is Shamrock Rovers v Wayside Celtic?
It shouldn't be up to the club to appeal. The LFA and FAI know who is registered to play for what team in the competition. They should enforce the rules!
Technically, there's nobody registered to play in this competition and the lad's registration with Pats (for the under 19 league) isn't in doubt.
He was cup tied. I'm sure they do know. They don't seem to care. That should tell you all you need to know about the competition
