Last I heard, Hibs were fairly cash-strapped. Their willingness to put up a fee for Collins shows how much they need to replace Griffiths (and, to a lesser extent, Doyle) and that they rate Collins. Going up to the SPL and registering a strong goal tally for at least one season is a good way to climb further up the ladder in England. Will be interesting to see whether a Championship side decides to match Hibs' offer.
