The kick off time for tomorrows friendly game against St Pat's has been moved to 3.00 pm.
Are you 100% on that Sorbo?
ye richmond floodlights damaged in flooding and wont be working til next week apparently
Anyone know what dublin bus goes out that direction???
the 13 40 and 68 go down past stadium
Hopefully the prodigal son makes his comeback in this one. Due to sign today I believe.
Are you talking about who I think your talking about?
Was just on twitter the great one did indeed come on as a second half sub......has he signed?
Not yet. But possibly...
seemingly he has signed, was at the game, great to see him back in the red and black! Id say he will make a great partnership with gillespie. Anyone know how long craig walsh is out for ?
Happy days!
Was at the game myself. Poor game. Town offered nothing in attack.
Crawley and Morley were poor.
Second half saw a new keeper, Gillespie, Kirby, James and another chap come on.
Town were much better, and had more possession. I thought James was good.
We seem to have a serious squad if they could stay fit.
Walsh was injured, was wearing a leg brace today.
According to Extratime the keeper was Craig Hyland and the others at HT were Daniel Purdy and Jamie Duffy apparently. I forget where he was for the last while. It seems Karl Keogh, formerly of Wexford Youths and Shamrock Rovers started in defence for us. A Dean Cosgrave also appears to have come on, an u19 player it seems
dean cosgrave is with the under 19s..
I wasnt able to make it but massop 10 kindly sent me a txt.. this is the town team first half and second half!
first half:hunt, gary cronin, noel haverty, karl keogh, graham dowling, jacques morley, mark salmon, james o brien, sean skelly, aussie and tomo..
second half: craig hyland, collie james, haverty, keogh, cronin, jamie duffy, kirbs, gillespie, purdy, a skelly and crawley. Sub: 70 mins Dean Cosgrave..
Great to hear Deano got a game today another young fella I've played with he's a midfield player who has always reminded me of van der vaart haha nice lad and good footballer has always been destined for a big future.
Craig Walsh and jeff flood have broken metertasal and foot respectively, both out for a possibility of 8 weeks, Craig did his in friendly v sacred heart
That's unfortunate. Would explain why we're looking at adding a couple. Is Mick Lee injured too?
Nice goal, didn't appreciate it at the time...

Wasn't too sure about Keogh or Haverty. Is Hope still with us? Must say, I was impressed with James when he came on. If anyone is wondering, Jamie Duffy was with Drogheda after us, but is one quarter of small time boyband 'Boulevard'. A youtube search of 'Boulevard 100 Times' will show you. Not a very impressive video but catchy song... 100 - 100 Times...
That'd be my thinking if it comes off. No disrespect to the other players, but they should be able to really link up at higher standard to the rest of the team, and division. What they've conceded in pace with years, they should be able to make up with skill. Total Football.
He's officially signed now anyway welcome back Kirbs!

Mick Lee hasn't been right since he got that injury last year it's a shame cause he was a brilliant player for us and hopefully still can be once he over comes this set back. That's awful news on Flood and Walsh especially Flood because the back 4 is an area we're perhaps not as strong in.
The addition of Kirbs is a master piece and himself and Gillespie should be a match made in heaven, let's hope the keepers have a good year and the strikers put the chances away.
Any idea on Kirbs wage? He must be one of the higher earners.
Heard the same whispers re some sort of a job. Heard he was still studying until June though and that he might have a part time job after that. Flancare might take him back perhaps, they were always happy with him when he worked for them before by all accounts. Might tide him over for a while whilst he's still playing LOI anyway. He has a family to be looking after so he must be happy enough with what he'll be getting out of the deal.

match report here from game in clonmel.. I am waiting on the team lineout from someone who was at the match!
Seems to be some confusion over the Drogheda United friendly next Saturday some people saying it's at home others away (I thought away). It's on the town website as home @7-30pm but the club Twitter says away????? Heads in a spin what's the right answer :)
Drogheda announced it as a home game for them initially didn't they? Haven't heard of that changing. Probably just a mistake on the Town site. Actually just checked the Drogs site and it's now down as a home game for us. Either it's been switched or Drogs had it wrong. Either way it seems to be in Flancare now anyway.
I hope so, delighted! I'l look into it further hope its at home dying to get back into the swing of things.
i asked a member of our backroom staff bout it and it is definitely in Flancare.. the game was announced initially in drogheda by drogs utd so so I am not sure what happened..
this is our squad against Cork;
hunt, dowling, o reilly, haverty, deans,kirby, gillespie,salmon.bermingham, purdy,crawley. subs: s skelly, morley, o brien, a skelly, keogh,hyland
Should be a good game would like to see us notch up a win even though its only pre-season.
Was just talking to a friend of mine he reckons we could have another home friendly next week cant say anything more just yet.
Tuesday 21st say no more
We're due to play Shamrock Rovers that night in Tallaght no?
Put 2 and 2 together
Shamrock Rovers' Twitter is saying as of a few minutes ago that we're still playing them in Tallaght on Tuesday 21st so 2 + 2 must equal 5 in this case.
Well I never said it was official I was told they were considering a change of venue because tallaght had become quite worn and that they were talking of moving it to flancare.
