Any word on ticket sales?
Club said we had 6k sold as of last Friday
We have sold 7000 as of yesterday, think shels are about the 3-4000 mark.
Would I be right in thinking that Sligo's sales are lower than last year's? It is to be expected and it's certainly already larger than two years ago. It'd be good if Sligo managed to bring 10k and Shels 5k. I'd say that'd probably see a swell to 20k overall.
Shels have sold just over 2k and Rovers about 8k. Be lucky to get 15k at the game at this stage. Still not a bad attendance when you compare it to recent years.
On the other hand.. 20000 bandwagoners who might come to a game or two next season. Better to see them once than not at all.
Still a few days to go and weather looks like it will be decent which should attract a good few daytrippers.
I think 20k is achievable. Not much advertising or promotion anywhere though.
Probably a stupid question...but do the clubs get anything from the gates?
Got home today from work and there was a letter from the FAI containing 3 premium tickets for the game waiting for me. Nice wee surprise.
I get 3 season tickets for the internationals for me and 2 mates. It's a good idea getting a few extra folk who are genuinely interested in Irish football and who may not have made the game otherwise especially with next week's game coming up...As well as a thank you for turning up for some of the tripe we've endured during the year.
For once, well done FAI. Cheers.
It might sound very odd but in some one ways but there is a small small part of me that hates Cup Finals - you be sick with worry thinking about them.
Then you have them people saying: Enjoy the day out? How can I enjoy the day, I'll be a nervous fcuking wreck.
Cant wait for ths now :D
Come on the Rovers!! Wanna get back into Europe next season, despite the nonsense this year!! Hopefully, Shels implode like Fingal last year except on the pitch and the signs are good, seeing as Shels fans here seem to be former Fingal/Dublin City fans!!
I'm getting two premium seats off a mate. Been debating with myself whether to go or sit in the Shels singing section but have a mate from Glasgow and he wants in the Premium so we can have some beer at the game.
Shelsweb saying we've sold 4k so far. Hopefully bottom half is full and will look decent on telly.
Folks - what's different/extra about the premium level ?
Bigger seats, better view, bars. Its actually not a bad idea to pick up one of these tickets for the cup final, its a cheap way of getting to the premium level. I went to last years final and it was very enjoyable. Not going to go to the Premium Level this year as I want to be around other Shels fans but, as I say, would thoroughly recommend it!
