Greece preview:

Unneccessary inflamatory article in the indo today critising Doolin and been derogatory to the players left in the squad. Whatever the rights and wrongs now is not the time to discuss it with the tournamant about to start

from that article:
except for the UEFA U17 Championships in 2008Quote:
It is a shame, of course, that Ireland's progress to a major championship finals for the first time at any level since 2002 should be blighted by chatter about player disharmony and managerial fall-outs.
There's quite a long article in the magazine section of the Sunday Independent debating the level of interest in the Irish soccer team, compared to rugby and golf (seriously, golf) in the national psyche, where John Delaney's salary is quoted as €420,000. Elsewhere in the same paper, it's mentioned as €450,000. Whether it is or it isn't, or if he deserves it is a debate for another day, but some level of consistent reporting would help!
Fair play. You should make double figures then....
Anyone have any idea if the game on Wednesday will be televised/streamed somewhere?

very good interview here by John Egan, sounds like the team have the right attitude.
I will be there Wednesday, me and the other family members supporting our boys
Bucharest's obvious appeal at this time is the Euro Finals, where Ireland will be playing at least 3 games.
We know.
It still doesn't appeal though.
Romania preview:

Kane Ferdinand will seemingly be known as Kane Ferdinand McGovern for the tournament.

I assume McGovern is his father's surname.
Was just looking at the odds for the Greece game with William Hill and they have Greece as very slight favourites to win at 11/8 with us at 13/8 to win. The odds for a draw are 21/10. I don't think the game is being televised anywhere, either on Eurosport or Romanian television, so it doesn't look likely there'll be a stream, unfortunately. I can't see any sign of UEFA streaming the games on their site either. Ireland's game with Romania on Tuesday the 26th will be televised on Romanian television, so I'd be hopeful of a stream for that. Of course, Eurosport are televising the one this Saturday against the Czechs. Both those games are at 5PM Irish time. Kick-off against Greece is at 7PM Irish time.
Will we be wearing the new jersey then?
Part Four, Ireland:

according to fai.ie - http://www.fai.ie/index.php?option=c...id=4&Itemid=12 - there will be highlights on EuroSport after the Romania - Czech Republic game
Quote:
Ireland kick-off their UEFA Championship finals campaign against Greece on Wednesday at 9pm (local time.) Highlights of the game will be available on Eurosport following the other game in Group A between Romania and Czech Republic which kicks-off at the same time.
Anyone know how big Egan is? He looks like a brute! I know there is high hopes for him down below.
He's the son of former Kerry GAA all-star John Egan.
Posted that without reading your name. Spectacular judgement as always.
Streams for the opening game between Spain and Belgium at 5PM this evening will be available here: http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?ma...78&part=sports
Might be worth keeping an eye on Spain as they're strong favourites to win the competition outright. They might even play some nice football too.
Hopefully, links for the Romania-Czech Republic game in our group will appear here at some point later: http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?ma...79&part=sports
Apologies lads, I can see the confusion now, what I meant to ask was how big is Egan (physically - not organ-wise geysir)?
The Score's preview:
"Ireland enter the competition as something of an unknown quantity." Good Lord.

Spain - Belgium stream:

1-0 Spain at the moment. But the players are off the pitch because of thunderstorms and fork lightning.
Good passing move, bit lucky at the end but Morata from Real Madrid scored from 6 yards.
Half-time between Serbia and Turkey. Score is 0-0 in that. What's happening with the Spain-Belgium game then? Are they hoping to continue play this evening?
