You asked what game I was watching:confused:, At what point did he chase after him and threaten him. He got up and grabbed him by the neck. That was it.

The lad that made the tackle was too young to be playing anyway.

17s player with a super chip Colin Daly opening the scoring, Fairview went 2 up after Craig Madigan popped up at the back post to finish, Charleville got one back in the 2nd half. Overall was a scrappy game of ball but good win for View in the end.
Balla B next up for the View.

the lad in goals for us tonight is our left back, we were missing our keeper coz he was working. I don't think we'd have conceded tonight if we'd had him in goals. Nothing between the 2 sides. Very few chances created by either team. Ref was very biased but we're used to it at this stage. He booked our 2 centre-halves for tackles when they clearly won the ball then failed to give us a free for a blatant back-pass to the keeper. It was an enjoyable enough game i thought. Best of luck to Fairview
I think you are a bit of a sore loser. View won the game and deserved it , fair play to your player who went in goals he did well and could do nothing about the goals. View hav'nt had a settled keeper all season and they just get on with it . They were missing 3 regulars last night but that is what a squad is there for. As for Charleville ye had 2 shots on goal the whole game one in which ye scored with a decent free kick, ye knocked it around well and had good possession at times but never really hurt . Its easy to blame the ref when you lose. It was a good win and performance from the view which was there first game in about 6 weeks. Best of luck to ville for the rest of the season.
Well i'd have to disagree with you. A draw would've been the right result (and penalties). We had 2 headers saved and missed other chances in the second half. we were sickened we lost that game as we dominated it for long periods but ye defended well. In fairness ye had 2 shots on target in the whole game and scored 2 goals so ye can be happy from that point of view. As for the ref, he gave ye everything. it just frustrating to lose after playing so well so if thats being a sore loser then so be it!
Time to pull the socks up after the christman break lads..... any friendlies player over the break?

Granville for promotion push?? Stranger things have happened.
And Wembley start losing games.
They'll get over it! Big family connections with Granville aswell. Left Pike for no more reason than I wasn't playing every week. To be honest about it. Plus it was time for a change. Needed a fresh challenge bud. It's worked so far. Never enjoyed training so much. Hopefully goes well on the pitch too!! Watch this space. Still hope the lads do well up in Pike of course.
Snow and ice due weekend. Will the afternoon kick-offs save the fixtures? At least some chance compared to morning games.

Div 1A Cup game tonight between Prospect v Dines, any score or line ups??
;)Lads was out in Jackman Park tonight for the 1 A cup game between Geraldines and Prospect and i was disapointed to see that L.D.M.C. had no linesman or assistant Referees as we call them these days appointed for the match.
Now the reason im bringing this up is i was standing behind the dug out with 15 minutes gone in to the second half when the guy doing the line for Geraldines who was totally ****ed out of his head flagged for a throw in to Geraldines which the ref gave and from the throw in Geralidines were awarded a free kick and 30 seconds later the ball was in the back of the Prospect net to the annoyance of the Prospect sideline.
Now from where i was standing you could see that the ball was a couple of feet in play and at this stage the match was 2 all.
This decision by the ref changed the the whole outlook of the game as Geraldines went on to win the game by 4 goals to 2.
When the Prospect touchline asked the Geraldines mentors and the Referee to take the flag of him they refused and at this stage he must have fallen over at least 3 times and the people behind the wall thought it was very funny.
Now if i was involved with a club who PAY their FEES and have their supporters PAY THEIR MONEY to go into JACKMAN PARK i wouldent find it a bit funny to be treated like this.
But then again nothing surprises me lately with Junior football in this town.
P.S. was told on the way out the same guy was P;;;ing against the Dressing Room wall before the match when he was approached by 2 members of Council he said he dident know where the toilets were they told him look up and over his head was a sign TOILETS.
Thank God its only junior football.
Thats scandelous alright. In fairness it was nothing to do with the players on the field, so the geraldines committee should of sorted it out or the ref. Anyone with drink taking should be outside the wall.
Imagine if a line assistant did a FAI match drunk he would never be allowed near a soccer pitch again. It should be the same for any junior soccer game.
