Ah great my weekend is looking up already
Shels down to 10 men....and sound like they're heading for a couple more reds.
Face up to your fears.

What can you do?
You either laugh or drink 14 pints of Bulmers
Derry one up!!!!!
2-0.
Title challenge back on.
No diving from Rovers players today. It was clear that Dundalk (especially the big no 3) were trying to provoke a reaction from McCacbe after he was sent off earlier in the year for headbutting someone up there. He was clattered 4 times in the 1st 30 mins and got up each time without losing his temper, I'm glad to say.
It was obvisous that the left back would be sent off, and I said it at the time, as he couldn't cope with McCabe. The Dundalk manager should have done something about it (sub/switching) then before the 2nd yellow rather than the predictable moaning about refs on MNS.
Peach of a goal from Richie Ryan

Farren and McEleney brace for City by the way.
UCD 4-1 up now. Ward hat-trick
2-0 Waterford
Please just let this season be over.
3-0 Waterford.
Make it stop.
3-1.
I hope you're adding on all the time for stoppages ref.
Great day for Irish football, Rovers destroy Dundalk and Shams lose the league.
The state of Shams
A brilliant performance from Derry city tonight.
The pace of Farren and McLean was to much for Shels to handle resulting in a red card for taking Farren down when he was clean through.
It seriously should have been at least 6 but for some silly misses and great goal keeping.
Biggest crowd since early in the season with a great atmosphere with Shels bringing close to 100.

Derry City took full advantage of Monaghan's defeat in Cork as they moved four points clear at the top of the Airtricity First Division.
The Candystripes controlled the early proceedings and Shels defender Mick Coburn was sent off for a professional foul on Mark Farren on 35 minutes.
If only we hadn't taken 5 points from 12 games mid-season...
Great result tonight. Ward's been a revelation the last two games. By his own admission, he couldn't score in a brothel, and now four goals in 90 minutes, with three of them superb strikes from outside the box.
A minor tussle, but beat Dundalk next week and we're one point off the Setanta Cup, I think.
Edit - also, yeah, I thought it was a Bohs peno too. Just a needlessly clumsly challenge.
Happy with today's results! The playoff position is back in our own hands now and we need to grasp it! We've 3 games beat Longford and athlone and a draw will do us in tolka park!

Younger posters mighn't get this.
(And I'll be honest - I robbed this from the Cork forum)
As long as i beat the world record for alcohol consumption I dont care.
I am not best pleased.
by Bohs and Pats fans, for the enjoyment of everyone.
Tom Taveys yesterday around 4.50pm...
Joke's on you. Us Rovers fans like disappointment. That's why we go out of our way to experience it.
Funny mistake in the premier division table on www.loi.ie right now.
1-1 result in Bray v Drogheda. Drogs as good as gone now - 6 points adrift with two games to go, and a much worse goal difference.
