"Ah, no, but who do you REALLY support ?
You mean - you're into League of Ireland football......?!"
*extended silence, followed by awkward shuffling of feet and sudden reminder that the gas is left on and the cat needs letting out.....*

everyone baying for blood, "lets hope those Rovers cnuts go the same way the last 3 league winners went", god forbid the league should have a successful club on and off the field....depressing reading a lot of the posts on here.
1) You've managed to quote something that is a complete misrepresentation of 99% of the posts on this thread.
2)You can hardly be surprised, given all thats gone on in the League over the last decade, that people are skeptical when they're told "its different this time". Its got nothing to do with Rovers for most people. I'd hazard a guess that EVERY club that ran a substantial loss either hit the skids or went very close to it.
SRFC has had more or less the same board for the past 5 years. There has never been a hint of financial bother during that time, and it's not going to start now. The club is only going to get stronger, on and off the pitch.Quote:

Judging by the Ultras forum I reckon I've more Rovers mates than you ;)
Thats fine, but it most certainly is a "hint of financial trouble" and you tried to claim there wass never any.Quote:

Another one of your spoofs busted...
Not a spoof, nor busted. I have my fair share of "mates" on our mb, and I get on well with all of them.Quote:

None of which negates the fact that your board outlined the financial problems they were facing and asked members to cover it by advancing subscriptions.
Ok, you can keep parroting that as a rather desperate example of perceived financial "trouble".
I've nothing more to add on that specific issue.
Dont know why Boco's old contract has come in to this. To my knowledge, all monies, no matter what the figure (even if it was 2K ORA) were paid in full and on time to Boco. End of story.
Yes, yes boo Hoo its not fair, slagging Shels, Drogs, Cork, and especially Bohs GOOD but to suggest anything nasty about the shams is just. so. wrong !!!!!!!!!!!
just like winning nothing of note for near twenty years can now be classed" successful on the pitch".
Gotta hand it to them the rent boys are always good for a laugh (unfortunately no trophies for that either).
This is gas.
Yet more jealously and bitterness towards SRFC. Get a grip the lot of ye, you think you know more then the club themselves. Its just a bit of debt, they'll handle it.
Also find it funny when Bohs fans slag Rovers off when their club is going down the ****ter.
Common sense says that no organisation can continue indefinitely with an increasing debt burden every year. You don't need to dust off your rocket science degree to understand that.
So maybe some day we can have a discussion around these sorts of issues at ANY club without the usual patheticly juvenile "Ugghhh, you's are all jealous" (in a mongo type voice) crap that idiots defensively post in response.
Though knowing this site, sadly that day won't be arriving soon..
Or most Rovers fans have a bigger chip on their shoulder than the rest of us.......
You pays yer money and takes yer pick on that one.
I prefer this video myself...

Even if I didn't know much is there a rule that I can't post on this site until I do?
....
Is this thread still running? This whole thread is based on a wishy-washy article printed in a wishy-washy rag. Indeed a wishy-washy rag that everybody on here knows is a completely anti-LOI 'publication'. In the best couple of weeks in the brightest period of Rovers' recent history this rag still feels it should throw that article out there. And unfortunately some people on here jumped right on it and made it into something that it's not, i.e. news! Surely this thread has run its' course, particularly as it has gone down the road of most other threads regarding Rovers.
Is it jelousy or bitterness when shams (or anyone) slag off Bohs ? jealous of what exactly ? 20 odd years on the road (and still renting) or no throphies for much the same period ? where were you when shams were telling all and sundry that they knew more about Bohs than our members (and invariably wrong) ?
Bohs MAY be going down the toilet but you forget shams WENT down the toilet and no amount of rewriting history will change that.
"fans slag off opposition on message board" - shock, horror, gasp whatever next
Invariably wrong? You know quite well we've been right all along about what you're board we're doing but you all just buried you're heads up your collective arses and denied everything. Tony Maguire was a disgrace as our Chairman, leaving small businesses without payment etc. But we stopped funding the club, forcing him and his cohorts out, and started from scratch again. Your members will be asked once again to fund the idiots in charge of your club and once again the sheep will obey through fear, instead of facing facts. The fact that we 'went down the toilet' and are back at the top again is surely something to be proud of, so who wants to rewrite history? And as members we'll have the balls to ensure the club never goes back to the dark days under the previous board. Ps, the jealousy and bitterness does exist from you, whatever you say on here, because of where both our clubs are going. Nothing to do with 'history'. Btw, glad to see Sundays hiding is still fresh on your mind :D
Whatever about the timing of the article, and I'm cynical enough to at least accept that the timing could be malicious, the accounts are there for all to see. As someone who most definitely supports the ownership model that Rovers (and others have), and who's been generally appreciative of what Rovers have been trying to do to cement their place in the community in Tallaght, it's concerning to see losses apparently racking up. Obviously, CRO accounts don't give the full picture, but they do give an indication. It would be disappointing if Rovers weren't being especially prudent (given their, and the leagues history) and operating on a break even basis.
Fenlon STILL at Dundee ? bohs bankrupt/relegated/not receive League throphy last season ? All "exclusives" (among others) from the shams inside track and all rubbish.
As regards your fans "revolt" against the "old board" when did it happen ? you waited until you were bankrupt and relegated - great foresight from the sham masses (ask your creditors about shams business accumen). A couple of years on and the "new world order" at Tallaght is running inceasing deficits on vertually no tangible asset base, still renting a ground and have won SFA in decades. So much to be proud of indeed :o keep burying your head.
PS I can get over the result Sunday if we go on and win the League - much like we did after losing at SDCC ground last season  jealous ? of what ? no ground ? no throphy ? dont make me laugh.
Marino Bohs ask yourself one question, why is there less and less Bohs fans on here fighting Bohs corner. You are starting to sound more and more like comical Ali every day. You will be telling us the champions league group stages is still on any post now
So now you clowns want to write our posts as well ? (an inside source at Dalymount told me you are going to post.......). Actually talking more about shams on this thread than defending Bohs - as you know critising the rent boys is never allowed (we are all ABShams apparently). Do feel free to point out where I am saying Champions League group stages are still a possibility by all means but making up what I might say really reeks of desperation on your part.
