makes a right mess of the league now, only 14 game season and will there now only be 1 team relegated?
sorry for the ones who worked so hard to establish the club , often against the tide. I asked a person very close to Ck Utd
Prem and he assured me their club did not approach R.R. players but were themselves approached by 2 players . Still pending, it seems panels are full . very late to find clubs now
its sad to see them go, rumours have being around since the end of last season its a pity they couldnt come to a decision sooner in order to give players a chance to find other teams and clubs. JJ and John arrived off their own backs after they realised the writing was on the wall for the rock
Have they kept any of their schoolboy teams or has it all gone.
Heard the whole lot was gone. Very unfortunate
did cashel v saints go ahead?
Yeah, went ahead. Unfortunately.
Michael's won 4-1, and probably could have won by more. Cashel played ok, solid if not spectacular, but gave away goals from set pieces. Criminal in the game today I suppose.
For anyone interested, here's a report of the game from the Cashel Town Facebook website.

This is actually a good idea for other clubs too, setting up a Facebook site that is. I know the guy behind the Cashel one and according to him its much easier to set up than a full club website, and you can do almost as much with it.
In fact it's probably better because of how Facebook works, sending all new messages to people who have joined the page, where with a site people would still have to go check themselves.
Check it out

Not bad at all; shame they failed to mention in the match report who scored for Saints? Answers anyone? Did Chalky play?
Think if you read it closer Tipp man you'll have noticed that Chalkie both played and scored, as well as coming close by hitting the cross bar.
He'd a good game, doing his usual standing in the centre directing the show around him (and that is meant as a compliment) as well as making a nuisance of himself at set pieces (another compliment)
As for the Michael's scorers, Liam probably didn't know who they were to be fair, but if teams can get someone to leave him a message on the Cashel page, he'd probably be able to edit the report to get it in.
I think other teams should look at doing something similar if they could. Would be a great way of getting reports on games long before the Nationalist print them on Thursdays
any result in from town and wildies???
wildies played Carrick United last wednesday and lost 4-2 they were excellent on the night, mcsharry and o hara have the potential to score alot of goals in the premier,
peake beaten 3-1 away to galbally, paddy power must be cleaning up we all on here had celtic and peake as certs when we saw odds up during the week
What did I tell you balls.. If I put a ha'penny on a team it's like putting lead in their boots... mind you, makes for an interesting start to the season. With only 14 games in the league now, every single point will be absolutely vital both at the top and bottom of the division.
I wonder what effect the suspension issue had on Peake today, were they badly affected by it ? Surely that's something the league can't allow happen again.
Tommy Gaynor and Noel Byrne aren't there for free, and Aaron certainly wouldn't make that journey for nothing
Players have had their heads turned by false promises from Borris,Villa need lads to show some loyalty now but unfortunately thats a currency modern players dont deal in,the manager lost the dressing room and took the **** in pre season.....he barely organised a training session and now were left in a mess
Why is it that things can never be straight forward in Peake Villa, They go from being on the crest of a wave one minute to being at the bottom of a swamp the next, They have some of the finest players in the county and deservedly won the league last season because of this. Other clubs would give their right arm to have those players at their disposal.
I spoke to a Borris player over the weekend; they are very excited and happy to be moving in the right direction for a change. He also informed me that Willie Mulcaire is the manager and Tommy Gaynor is doing the coaching and Noel Byrne isn’t involved at all.
Prices up for tonights games...insidetherock this is your chance to redeem yourself !!

So a big night awaits us in the TSDL, Last year’s top two Villa and Celtic will be hoping to bounce back from their first games and with both these sides playing each other this weekend one’s title hopes could be gone by the end of the first 3 games. All eyes will be on Town tonight to see how they cope with all their suspensions and injury’s, They will be expecting a much better start to the season this time round.
Predictions for tonight are a win for Saints, Villa, Celtic and Wilderness
Can someone please tell me why the league dished out all these stupid suspensions at the start of the season surely they could be given out throughout the season. Also why are Cashed and Wilderness down to play each other 2 games in a row surely they could have been spread apart.
presume fixtures were changed after Rock pulled out . i believe Cahir were originally down to play the wildies on Sunday
Wildies are 3-0 up against Cashel after 10 mins!!
Celtic 1-0 Dwayne Burns against his old club..Wildies 3-1 up now
5-2 Wildies now ,not even half time.Wat a game!!!
Wilderness won 5-3...Town were 4-2 up last i heard
Brilliant derby game in the complex, Town 4-2 Celtic, Celtic should have been out of sight by have time, a great hat trick from Barry Ryan punished them,a bicycle kick being the highlight of the 3,not so sure the celebration was needed though,Ian Clery got the other and was man of the match for me,incredible work rate
wat was the celebration Tipp Top
Typical Barry Ryan. Ran into the Celtic dugout.
did Peake win???
pure bitterness from celtic, all their talk about their super team and they cudnt even beat half a town team!
celtic were well able to celebrate their recent wins in the faces of town people especially after the cup final win in cahir
typical stuff from celtic to throw a water bottle at barry ryan while he celebrated, whoever did that has dragged the name of the club down! what a pity!
he is entitled to celebrate all he wants, after his second goal he ran on the track on the opposite side of the pitch!
COME ON THE TOWN, normal service resumed!!!
Quinlivan, Cleary and Comerford were excellent for Town, we are a better club without
he ran "INTO" the dugout?????? dont talk rubbish! he ran on the track, quite entitled to pony!!!
villa won 2-0,played brillent looked some way back to normal
saints 4-2 Galbally, saints goals chalkie, john connery , sean o hallaron and new lad out from limerick got saints 1st goal.
My god your a bitter man. It's people like you that turn people against Clonmel town. If he was entitled to celebrate as he did, then why did he get booked? I'll be the first to admit that Celtic were terrible tonight, but Town were nothing special either. Neither team will go far if they continue like that.
