Steven Kelly came on in the second half and when he gets back to fitness i'd say there is plenty of goals in him aswell.

Caherconlish 2-1 Mungret Regional Good game Mungret Regional took lead early on with a bit iof a deflection Caherconlish were on top most of 1st half and got a well deserved equaliser just before half time Caherconlish began 2nd half same way and eventually took the lead soon though and for a lot of the 2nd half Mungret pressed looking for the equaliser fortunatly for us it was just beyond them as her defence held on 6 points out of 6 its great for us considering we'd 0 out of 6 this time last year

Ridiculous scores. How are the refs letting some of these games continue. Especially the athlunkard one today.
Jesus that's brutal who are this new side neway where is the pitch?
a bit of common sense should apply, we were 6-1 up last year and the ref blew it up early(20 to go) and no one complained, he should have asked athlunkard and i think they would have agreeded with him
One of Northside players asked for it to be blown up but the other players wanted to have the full 90 minutes for the experince. Had they wanted to end it would have been, Most of the goal came in the last 20 mins.
Northside will get better once the find the right postions for players

Steven Kelly marked his first start with a well takin hatrick. Ger ned scored twice and Anthony Collins compleated the scoring.
coonagh 2-1 athlunkard
Coonagh 2 - 1 Athlunkard:
Coonagh started the game far better and deserved to go 1 up thru a long ball flicked on putting the striker 1 on 1 with the keeper and calmly finishing. Athlunkard still didn't wake up and a crossed ball left the other striker alone on the back post where he put the ball over when he really should have done better. Finally Athlunkard settled down at start to get on the ball, a few half chances later, with the centre midfielder hitting the cross bar with a great long range effort and the right full doing the same from further out. This presure led to a corner from the right put in to the back post and an unmarked centre half heading in from 4 yards. the second half ended with Athlunkard having most of the ball but Coonagh looking dangerous on the break.
The second half was a much scrappier affair with neither team getting on the ball and dominating for a period. Occasional glimpses of what both teams are capable of were few with one leading to a cross into the Coonagh Box with both strikers and centre halfs attacking the ball before it was cleared. As the ball went down field the action in the box clearly hadn't stopped in the box as one of the centre halfs (who for the second time in the game lost the rag) with several player from both teams trying to calm him down. Quickly Athlunkard took off their striker to avoid anymore ugly incidents, with Coonagh reluctant to do the same with their best player. The game looked to be heading for a draw as neither team seemed capable of anything more than half chances. A hopeful cross from the right by coonagh after good work was left by the Keeper only to end up in the back of the net. Athlunkard tried to rally and had pressure on Coonagh with the sub striker getting in behind the defense and honestly kept his feet in the box with the centre half hanging of him to get 1-1 with the keeper but with the angle to tight the keeper made a good stop. Coonagh managed to hold on for the remaining minutes for their first 3 points while Athlunkard go away empty handed.
He lost the rag because as he was getting up off the ground the Athlunkard centre forward punched him in the face and split him open below his lip. Our centre half plays in a few postions and is well used to teams kicking him around the place and never reacts and usually gets on with the game so we knew something serious must have happened to get a reaction out of him. Athlunkard took off their centre forward becasue he should have got a straight red card but the ref could do nothing because he didn't see the incident. No reason to take off our player because he got a punch. Our player also calmed down immediately afterwards and was not involved in any further incidents.
A draw probably would have been a fair result but the luck we didn't get in the first two games fell our way last night and got a very lucky goal.

Northiside aren't a bad side at all. When their fitness gets better and they settle in they should do alright. We scored a 3rd goal but it was disallowed as the ref thought it hit the post when in fact it hit the bar at the back of the net and popped back out.
Croom B 3-0 Dromore B
