Hi all, some big games ahead this weekend, mulranny v Killala which is a winner gets promoted in my view, underachievers of the season so far Achill Rovers against bottom side Manualla b is a must win for the home team. are Moy Villa at home in that insanely long pitch which should not be allowed in any football league (maybe GAA but thats sized for 15 players, not 11 unfit players).
guess that means we weont be seein ya at tranin tonight so kev?!? ;)
Players commitment is questioned from time to time Achillrover, none more so than my role in bringing a half ****ed centre half down with me tonite and then bringing our superstar striker to the airport for his seasonal retreat back home. Your return to form has been great to see, if a few more could row along in with you wed be laughing, moy villa was a low point (on a personal note especially). 3 points sunday and a mulranny win may stem the tide of promotion.

Good result I think!
0 - 3 is flattering. Killala were 1 up after 55 mins. Mulranny went 3 at the back with 5 mins to go and Killala countered scoring 2 goals at the end. Deserved tho! Game was 50/50. Killala wanted it more.

First half pretty even, 0-0 at h.t. Just after secound half a Mallacou flick on Gigsy buried from close range, secound Gigsy ran on from mid way to bury it, third Gigsy very un-selfishly passed the ball to Mallocou rather than score his hatrick himself to score from close range. They had no answer to Gigsy atall and our midfield did not give C.O.D any room.
Pitch verry poor they must only cut it when they have a match they were collecting up the grass in their arms and did not all off when we arrived an hour before hand.
Things are hotting up in the Division one, Mulranny choked yesterday, thats the beginning of the end for them! Killala have the momentum now, however alot of games to go and they are average at best. Rovers beat manualla easily, manulla must improve to stay up, the form of steve mcnulty (MR cleansheet), mark davitt and conor mcginty are the bright aspect for Rovers. Niall connors for a young lad is outstanding. The transfer request handed in by Kevin Lynch yesterday officially to club chairman George Collins (time of memorial), was a shock, a move to Castlebar Celtic is all but done. Jablonski back in the goals also! Looking forward to see Knock/Kiltimagh make a burst of successive wins in the 2nd half of the season, they deserve to be in the prem league, some great players but clashes with GAA have limited players. Its hotting up, i predict Rovers/Killala promotion!

Thats a brave prediction, we are keeping our feet on the ground we have won nothing yet, we are not making any calls yet but in a good position, we have a big 10 days to come. Conn Rangers in big local derby on Sunday at home, Knock/Kilt at home in the cup semi-final on the Thurs. night and Achill away on the following Sat. night. If we get 3 wins it will put us in a great position, both us and Mulranny are still in pole position 8 points ahead of third.

Achill rovers are the best team in this division by a long shot,have been the past few seasons,fact.

Rumours also circulating that Ashley Stevenson is headin back to Achill Rovers..........would be a massive addition. Some fringe players are rumoured to be headin for Parkside celtic and ballyhaunis Town, Hollister have approached martin doolin who less than impressed with his 20 minutes on sunday, seemingly pint swamping and pastries coupled with refrigeration foods in stores are key to a stable diet!
i think writing off mulranny is a little premature, while we may have had a dip in form the season is far from over. the reason we built up a lead is because we were grinding out results hence the points total. killala were deserved winners on sunday as we had no answer to their front men,who were exceptional on the day, no complaints here. as for the remark that achill are the best team in the division i have my reservations on that one. they had their chances against us but like all season they are struggling for goals and will continue to do so if Jablonski cant stay fit
I agree.Im surprised they havnt been winning more games this year they are a good footbaling team with a few class individuals! But they always seem to be languishing around the bottom/mid table every year. I dont think they have many ga player this year either. We have them in the cup semi next thurs. Inver were poor. Rovers are closing the gap, really hope they go up, good to see so many lads back to top notch form, back 4 clean sheet again. Still lot of work to do, hicks and gillet on the line will do their best to blow it for rovers in my opinion. Mark davitt man of match again, how mulranny could do with him now. If the towering defender stevie mc continues this form he is a shoe in for Team of the year.

We nwere useless, Conn Rangers were by far the more hungrier side, they totaly dominated the whole match no excuses. It opens up the whole league especialy with Mulranny loosing, tough game next weekend away to Achill

Because both teams showed more consistancy while all the others were dropping silly points to the weaker teams! 2nd half of the season will be different i think as everyone will take points off eachother and there will be no team pulling away! Same as last season.Quote:

If its a repeat of lasts year semi-final for quality and excitement its should be a great game. We played them a couple of weeks ago and won well with 2 late goals which was not a true reflection of the game as Knock/Kilt. had a man sent off early in the game. Iexpect a far closer and much tougher game tonight but i expect our bit of class and the need to erase last weekends poor performance behind us in a home win
Mulranny V Moy Villa-Away
It will be a real test for the home side on the back of 2 losses in the last 2 league games. It should be another close enother and it might take e.t and maybe penalties to settle it Away on pens.

It was hard strugle after Knoxie was sent off forf an off the ball incedant in the secoound hallf. The first was a pretty even afair.After the sending off it was a case off back against the wall, hard work and toil by all the players paid off with a quick counter-attack ended with Malloco being fouled by the keeper and Giggs converting the spot kick. it sets up a cup final against Moy Villa who inflected Mulranny 3 defeat in a row.

Is that the Mulranny V Moy Villa game it went to extra time have u any basics report on the game, Moy Villa is suposed to have a no of new signings were any playing last night.
Looking forward to our trip away on Saturday to ye, hope last night exertions does not take its toil on us for that game. Another tough game for Mulranny away to Urlaur which is showing good form lately.
