Will it be similar to the vintage one Adam?

The one on the last version of the forum..?
Hah, vintage! :) Same colours, but it can't be the exact same. Still working on it.
It's a bit of a hack at the moment, the original developer was on the missing list, but he's back now. I'll update it in a few weeks. If I don't, ping me and I'll get to it.
Did all of today's posts just vanish, or am I going mad?
A couple of strange things happening in the last while. I got logged out and posts seemed to dissapear, I think everything is back now though.
i clicked on this thread from outside the forum and it brought me to MagicMe's post looking for Derrys phone number...
I was logged out then it was telling me I had entered an invalid name or password though I was actually logged in at the top of the page. Strange goings on.
There's a-doin's a-transpirin'...
I think the whole thing moved to a different domain for a bit (part of beecher.net) as I posted a thread about this where I linked to a forum and it had that url
back to normal now it seems
Still seems to be alternating between Foot.ie and DEVELOPMENT foot.ie when pages are loaded.
Reckon Adam is just trying to mindf*!< us :)
Second time that happened, it's weird, Apache shouldn't be allowing that to happen. I'll try it on a differnt server, should be back to normal now.
Feck that; sure I can always sneak out to the match. :)
Is this just happening with me, I click on the last post link and it takes 5-10 sec to load but when I click for the last page, it loads much quicker 2-3 sec ?
Shouldn't be happening TheBoss. Try hard-refreshing the javascript with CTRL+F5.
This is still happening to me the whole time. Only on the laptop though, not the PC. Has the update that was meant to solve it happened yet? If so, any idea why this would still be happening?
I log in and it takes me to the 'thank you for logging in' message but then when the forum comes up it's as if I'm not signed in. But if I refresh the page, I'm signed in.
Given that there isn't a rash of complaints and it's only happening on one of your machine, there would seem to be something at issue on the laptop. Is it running the same OS and browser, and versions of these? Have you tried hard refreshing with CTRL+F5, clearing your cache, and clearing your cookies?
adam
What happened to the old green skin?
Don't know if these have been mentioned before but couple of minor (but irritating!) problems I'm having:
If someone quotes someone their post will have a large gap, then begin the quoted text will start halfway down their post (does this make sense...?!)
The page loads up and while the first half is the regular page of posts you'd expect, after the last post you can just keep scrolling down and getting a grey background.
Anyone else experienced anything similar?
Are you blocking ads tcm? Some of the spacing issues occur in the first and last posts on a page when ads are blocked.
I'll look into all of these again in more details on Tuesday. Having some downtime for a change.
If I post something in a thread it doesn't appear when I click on new posts page and my post won't appear until someone posts after my post or if I view a thread it dissapears off the new posts page as well?
seems to be a problem with "go to last posts" on on some threads, either the last person to post doesnt appear or else there is no go to last post icon
Edit:
ignore me its just when you dont have your browser maximised.
idea: on the home page, where the news articles are posted, maybe a thumbs up/down feature or comment box would be good to make the home page more interactive or more used. Just a thought, possibly one for the future.
Updated again this evening, let me know if ye've any problems.
There's a minor issue with the comment counter on the blogs. A couple of my blog posts have comments from another poster but the counter seems to ignore them and only count my replies.
I'm seeing those threads with attachments indented slightly. Breaks up the look of the forum and is sort of annoying.
Lads, can ye link me to examples or post screenshots please?
Seems to be fixed now :)
That's not happening for me, Mr A. I'm also using Firefox on XP.
EDIT: That would also explain it. :)
Hit refresh lads. CTRL+F5.
