Any news on the Cup draw yet?
Fanad Utd v Avondale Utd
full draw to follow
to be played week ending March 7th
1. Rockmount v Dublin Bus
Any sign of the full draw?
Is it just me or do Rockmount always seem to get a home draw in this competition?
Its in the rules. They'd have the final in Whitechurch too if they could get away with it :D
whats the pitch like down there these days? how are the mount doing in the league?
Dublin Bus are blowing hot and cold this year, although on their day they can be very good.
have decent pace about them, GK not the best and defending wasnt their strong point before xmas, although they seemed to have worked on it lately.
Pitch is not bad... slight hill on it but they have Flood Lights down there now so its pretty impressive. Handy for Friday or midweek games!
Rockmount are flying in the league at the moment, recently beat Avondale Convincinly 3-0 at Avondale Park. Currently 9 games, 8 wins and 1 draw.
Anybody know much about Fanad? Nasty Trip for the Dale, possibly the worst draw for them
fanad is a tough place to go and get a result.... strong team, always a big local support, big community!
its a long trip for any MSL to USL tie, but Fanad is approx 2hours from bundoran.
Bonagee United 1 - 2 Drogheda Town
Shocking how Bonagee lost this one, they should have been 4 or 5 up by half time. Missed a penalty, hit the bar and missed a few one on ones. 2 chances for Drogs and they scored both.
Bluebell 2-0 Belgrove
Revised Draw
Fanad United FC v Avondale United FC
Bluebell United FC v Crumlin United FC
Rockmount AFC v Dublin Bus FC
Tolka Rovers FC v Drogheda Town FC

Glenvilel 0-4 Crumlin Utd
Bonagee made pay for poor finishing. Drogheda the opposite. 3shots, 2goals.
The reaction from the Drog camp was definitely, 'got out of jail'.
Quarter finals will be interesting all round.
Will be good to see Avondale in action in Donegal

Tis no wonder Mount are favourites after another soft home draw.
Avondales current form is awful, they'll need to improve bigtime to get a result up North.
Where is the final on this year?? Please don't say Rockmount Park
Am I right in saying that these 8 sides enter the FAI Cup 1st Round proper where another draw is made? When is this draw for the 1st Round proper made? I think the Eircom/LOI sides enter at the 2nd Round stage. I could be wrong though...
Last year the 1st and 2nd round was made at the same time, with some clubs recieving byes for the 2nd round. The teams in the pot were 16 FAI Intermediate clubs (4th rd. participants) + FAI LoI 'A' Championship first team clubs + Junior clubs.Quote:

Is this changed?
Could be wrong but,
1st Round of FAI Cup is made up of:
Last 16 teams from the Intermediate Cup.
Last 4 teams from the Junior Cup
The 5 A League teams.
The 22 Senior clubs enter in the second round.
The numbers don't add up though, so, Harpojoyce could be spot on with 2 rounds played before Senior clubs enter.
Fanad Utd 1-2 Avondale Utd
Dale were 1 up after 15 minutes through Mark O'Sullivan but then lost a player on the half hour when John Cotter was sent off.
Fanad equalised with 15 left but Andrew Knowles got the winner with 3 minutes left.
Rockmount 1-0 Dublin Bus FT
