Really? When?

Toss up between Ger Rowe and Stephen Gough for worst signing imo. Rowe for being such a let down and having a crap attitude, and Gough for being so bad its unreal
now im not Georges biggest fan
but he scored ten goals for us last season - may well have been our second highest goal scorer as well
Brian O'Callaghan was poor enough, Dave Mulcahy was shocking altogether though!
Gareth Farrelly played about 20 games in total for us over two years
In my time it has to be Darren jack. He was 6ft 5 striker that couldn't jump, win a header to save his life or shoot. Really have no idea why he was signed.
On loan to us at the moment and has done nothing wrong that I've seen. I've only seen the home games but he was excellent against Monaghan, even sacrificing himself for the cause with a professional foul on his debut after a **** up by one of our other defenders that would have led to a goal in the last minute or so!. Kildare was a walk in the park and he scored against Wexford. Athlone people rated him extremely highly whilst with them too. Maybe he wasn't quite ready for the Premier Division or something.
Can I nominate Pat Fenlon......?
For Bohs:
Chris Turner - poison for Bohs though he seems to be doing okay with Dundalk now.
Andrei Peretoploytkin - just never adjusted to the game here.
have to say Nesovic is one of my all time favourite Bohs players. Will never ever forget that goal against Pats in Dalymount back in the Roddy season or his two fingers to the Rovers fans during the 6-4. Hero! :D
Nesovic was a great player. He just happened to be an absolute fruitcake.
Andrei P. was OK I thought, just didn't get time to adjust.
Worst Bohs players I remember are Mark O'Brien and the tall, carrot topped absolutely useless centre-half that Farrelly bought unseen - Sean something? someone help me.....
Had it not been for a certain goal that he happened to score I'm sure Jimmy Aggrey would be up there. :D
I can't believe I forgot about the jokers Dave Connell brought in at Galway - the worst of the lot was Bobby Byrne - an absolute disaster of a full back. No pace, no positional sense, no good. I think Connell brought him to Limerick too.
Had our big money move for ex-St Francis striker Paddy Doyle not fallen through he could be on the list!
There is a certain player on the current Athlone team who plays in midfield and was ranted and raved about as an underage player a few seasons back and for me is a complete waste of space but as beggers cannot be choosers and the club is still at the begging stage I'll not reveal who this is. ;)
The worst ever Athlone player was at least 4 stone overweight had dodgy knees and almost cried when fans offered an opinion on him. That was a Mr Flanagan (I cannot remember was his first name Con or not). I've rarely seen our fans boo one of our own players so often and eventually the boos got through to him and he left the club.
Too early to say it yet but I'm confident Stephen Parkhouse will be one of the worst.
Jesper Jorgensensensen is my fav. played everygame with his back to goal, appalling first touch and could miss an empty net with a dead ball from a yard out, lanky, awkward, cowardly idiot who thought that we were a stepping stone to English football!!!!! Grrrr.
Shaun Fagan, at least, had one good game and could put the boot in when necessary, Juan Rojas was a nice guy at least and Dimitri Brinias at least had the good grace to go very very very far away after he left the club..... Greg O' Halloran has to be there as well, came played ****e in 2-3 games and then broke someones leg in training....
Ola Tidman for us. He used to be the Sheffield Wednesday keeper. I was excited. He was rubbish.
Alan Moore, big injured pie of a player.
Kyle Moran, Manchester United reserve - he must be good. Fenlon just loaned him out to Shels instead. Not sure if he ever got a game.
Greg O'Hallorahan - Jesus H. Christ.
Dave Rodgers - I was nearly in tears when I heard we signed this scouse ballbag.
Mark Cobey would be another one for us...worst keeper in the world.
We have had a pile of them, a lot have been mentioned here already, but the stand-out one, in trms of totally failing to live up to the hype, has to be, as Paddyfield said, Neville Steedman. Jesus H Christ on a bike but he was rubbish. Don't agree about Juan Rojas, had potential but Taxi Tony never gave him a chance. ON top of those mentioned by other United fans, also have to tip the hat towards the likes of Pat Morley, Johnny Gaynor, Steve Craig, Jason Kabia and Kirk Miller.
Paul 'Wanted by Shels/Bohs/Man Utd/Juventus' Browne. Utterly Shocking.
cormac mcardle
I'd say it would have to be between Seán Kelly, Brian O' Callaghan, or Tony Tynan...
Jesus, were they bad !
