They're all fair points. Still, he has a few left to offer and he's spent a good deal of time at the club, it's sad to see him end his career short. I'm not his biggest fan by any means but he has a great deal of experience and gives 100% every game. It would be nice to see some continuity with all the change. In the transfers thread that we've signed Chris Mulhall. No idea who from, but the name rings a bell.
According to wikipedia he's a 21 year old midfielder from Portlaoise. He came through Shels' U-21s and made one senior appearance for them and was then signed by Rovers in the summer of 2007. He's listed as having made six appearances for Rovers but who knows how up to date that is.
The last former Shels U21 we signed in the first division... Conor Kenna?
If he played a bit for Rovers, he's probably a decent signing for us; more experienced than the former A team players anyway.
