Basically I want to download the last edition of MNS and then convert it to be able to go onto the iPhone.
If anyone knows of software and/or a procedure to do this - I'd be most grateful thanks

Only getting to comment on this now. I thought it was a great show. Had a non-stop grin on my face for the last half hour. Behind the scenes of 60 was great, Gartland should be given a job by RTE! Loved the montage at the end, especially the bits with Sadlier & T O'D (3 times!) and the 'I signed him' bits by Roddy. Super stuff altogether. I'm a bit sad though, 3 months with no LoI. Guess I'll have to resort to Dream Team re-runs, although they're not as dramatic!
If you'd seen Crowe play a few times this year, as I have, you'd see a very intelligent striker. All aspects of his forward play are superb, except his goals ratio this season. Unfortunately, too many people are judging him on this alone.Quote:
yes but those of us with full brains are stunned:eek:
Crowe looks slightly overweight and has no pace, the same could be said of Jan Molby for most of his carrer at Liverpool. I think this has been Crowes best season in the last 3 years.
In the behind the scenes of sixty bit whose the player claiming he was bitten by a shark???:D
Let me help you out there. When it's Gerry Ryan, Marian Finucane or (especially) Pat Kennys salary being discussed, then it's commercial business, and nothing to do with you, me, or any other licence payer. When it's time to bitch and moan to the Government that RTE are being shafted by the FAI and big bad moneybags broadcasters in relation to rights to Ireland matches then RTE is a totally selfess public service broadcaster providing an essential service to our "Sports Mad Public".
See, easy really. :)
Ah great end of season show. Gartland was brilliant as usual. Nice dig at RTE's budget in the Sixty thing too. Shame I didnt catch it every week but well done to all involved.
The Speed King of Sligo was bloody hilarious too!
just finished watching the show - brilliant!! :D:D
sligo lads stole the show!! :D
Keith Foy is actually my hero.
I couldn't stop laughing.
Brillant last show.Great fun.Montage at the end was my favourite bit.Music was well chosen.*Somebody mentioned to me that there was a report in the Irish Times saying it might be axed next year.Hope its not true or we will have to start a campaign like when they brought back Wispa.
*God dammit I really have to learn to read back through the threads before posting.
been giving this some thought overnight - if anyone Sky+ ed the show and can transfer to a Dvd - could they PM me please?
Ash - the problem is trying to get the footage down and into a format which can be used on other devices - a DVD would allow this as it would be a standard video file - not some manky ivr file
Just finished watching it ... top notch, Foyzer was class :D
Hold on Reitoir, i had a free software but i deleted it, i'll try to find it, if i do i'll PM it to you.
If you have real player on your computer(which i assume you would because you need that to watch it online) then when you move the cursor over the video on the mns website it should give you the option to download.
1. Download the video from the mns site
2. Download software called youtube downloader(google it)
Then when both are downloaded, open youtube downloader, select the mns file and select which format you want it to be converted too (3gp for iphone)
Simple as:)
does it support conversion of IVR files though (as that is the format into which Real Player downloads) - most software I've seen cannot convert from that format.
Unless there's some way to force Real Player to download to a different format...
I'll give it a try - thanks for the help lads
Great show this week alright - i'm just finished watching it online. As far as the low viewing figures go - i'm not surprised - in most households the soapwatchers (generally, but hardly exclusively women) have total control of the TVs - I hardly get near the TV before 10pm when the kids are all sorted out.
BUT I wouldn't move it to a 10pm slot - we want to appeal to the younger generation - no point in just preaching to us few converted, you NEED to get the kids interested so the game will thrive in the future. - keeping the kids interested is another reason to keep slots like the 60 second one - this is the type of thing that helps to create personalities in the league & will pay off longer-term.
The only solution is to engineer a writers strike for all the soaps - then we can take back control of those remotes! ;)
I had to turn the show off. I don't think they show enough football. You could cut out the likes of 60 and show the actual footage.

I've had to do this before a little bit ago so I forget exactly how. But you can use realplayer to create a video CD with the IVR file and then rip the video CD using your software.
I used it to get footage off RTE news in IVR format and then to convert to a more workable format!
Its a long way around, but it worked for me.
Frmom Con Murpohy's blog: Incidentally, on Friday the pundits play a match along with the production team. The venue is a secret because obviously the screaming girls supporting Disco Tony McDonnell and Richie Sadlier would be off-putting for everyone concerned, but it should be a laugh and with Jimmy Magee providing commentary it should be one not to be missed.
Small clue - 2pm kick off.....venue.....sorry, they just won't let me tell you!
