The U21 squad mainly consists of players who have not played at the level before to give them a chance to force their way into the sqaud. It's no big deal.Quote:

O'Dea was arrested in Glasgow at the weekend (wrongly I believe). O'Dea, McGeady and Brown were attacked by some morons outside of a nightclub. O'Dea was arrested and later fined (breach of the peace)! Hope thats not the reason he wasn't picked.Quote:

That's really interesting and I'm actually quite happy about that. Just because I trust Trap and if he feels we can play better without Carsley then I'm all for it.
Yeah, maybe... but I think we will need Carsley in the campaign... I thought he was amazing on Saturday.
As for Ireland, he hasn't retired from his international team... Trapattoni said he just isn't ready to come back now... I think his decision should be respected, especially as we don't know the reasons behind it and he's a young guy struggling with some things...
I think it's great that Finnan is back... of the three that had dropped out from the squads, surely he is the most important to get back. He should be guaranteed to start every game.

I've put the players in brackets as direct replacements as thats the way the squad seems to be shaping up.
The non-inclusion of Carsley is no harm, he's on the way out, and we need to blood replacements now.
