Some of you should get the movie of Mike Bassett England Manager out on DVD . I think they reach a point where they need Luxembourg to beat Turkey away before they can qualify. The Grand Duchy do it winning 2-0 :D After they are eliminated from the finals Mike Bassett is replaced by .... the bloke that scored 2 for Luxembourg in the Turkey Game :D
2-1 now.
How are they jammy? If they qualify they'll have earned more points than Russia. Nothing jammy about a team losing a game, especially one they weren't expected to win.Quote:

We didnt need Russia or anyone else to do us favours. We were nowhere near good enough to get to the favours point. Also I dont think we are in any position to be passing jibes in relation to getting favours off other teams to help you to qualify for tournaments!Quote:

I just went for a lunchtime run down the Embankment and back along the South Bank towards Tower Bridge. Loads of Croatia fans around taking in the tourist sights. Needless to say I wished a few of them good luck, being the mean spirited crank that I am.
