That thread has a league table as well, but sure I'll post it here as it's just a copy and paste job from Excel -

A strong u21 team beat Malahide 2-1 in a friendly yesterday. First half performance was apparently good but second half in need of improvement! Good for the lads to keep ticking over.
Page 235 says that we are playing Portaloise at 7.45pm Tuesday evening - presumably this means it will be in Belfield and not on Fosters Avenue - anybody know for certain ?
No floodlights on Foster's Avenue so it'll have to be in Belfield Park.
Also no technical area in Foster's Avenue.
unless someone got the paint and roller out :)
3-0 into the closing stages. Forsyth (2) and McMillan.
3-0 finish.
we lined out:
Keeper
Seanie (?)
Evan Mc
Declan O'D
Killian Gallagher
Fran
Tootsie (?)
James O'Sullivan
Podge
Forsyth
Paul Murphy
Timmy came on for Darren, Bolger for Sulli and the bloke who looks a bit like Ronan Finn for Declan.
First half pretty even. Portlaoise looked decent and had a few very nice players. Their 2 full backs, one of whom was called Rhino, the 2 centre mid's and the 7 up front (Joey ?) all looked lively.
The real difference was in the second half when our stamina and fitness started to tell.
The first goal came from a chance that had actually broken down on the edge of the box and Darren rifled it in from the D.
There was 10 minutes after the first goal when Portlaoise pushed and looked like an equaliser could have been on. We missed a few daft chances.
The second was a super strike from Darren with the outside of his right foot into the top corner which was preceded by a similiar strike by Seanie, the right fullback, who forced a top class save from the decent Portlaoise keeper.
The third was kind of daft - a mis-hit shot from the edge of the box fell to Evan 2 yards out and there this was this surreal moment when everybody assumed he was offside.
Manchester City moments :
Podge - just in front of me in the first half - top class attitude - geeing up the4 fullback - constantly talking and encouraging
Seanie - a nice player at full back
Declan - consistently impressed by Declan - probably not as experienced as Evan but great potential
Evan - natch
The cute lino
Manchester United moments
A bit of backchat here and there from Murph - he is clearly a talent - he looks the part but if we could transplant Podge's positive attitude and fitness....
Fran is also clearly a good player in the making but why the Ronaldo step overs and footdrags ? No TV coverage last night unfortunately and Pete M (in attendance) does not strike me as the type to be impressed by that stuff
Another one?! Finn's dad will be really confused now!
No TV coverage of Thursday's game either, and Pete is definitely not impressed with that. :DQuote:
