Who did Sunshine on a rainy day? Zoe or something?
Dexy's would be classed as a one hit wonder in the US. But what do they know
I believe he still is Steve Coogan's brother.Quote:
I think the lead singer was Steve Coogan's brother.
Cornershop is an interesting one - most djs believing that the 'Norman Cook awful remix' is their only output ever. Way to destroy a song, jive bunny.
Captain Sensible - Happy talk ;)
He also had a couple more solo "hits"

Story of the Blues by Wah
Matchstalk Men by Brian & Michael

Kayleigh by Marillion
I've never been to me by Charlene (I know, I know, pass the si*k bag)
My favourite is 'Airport' by the Motors. Coldplay's CLOCKS sounds like a sample of it. I also liked Echo Beach which got an honourable mention above.

I can't rememer. I was -1 when Word Up came out but that was like their 7th album, IIRC, and they didn't have any success as big after. Maybe in America they did.
I have a Cameo "Hits" collection as I'd heard Candy and loved it. I knew about Word Up but I didn't know the name of the band. Anyway song number one was Word Up. And come to think of it a lot of the songs on the CD sound familiar but this is down to them being sampled in the hip-hop music I like.
