Thought the Bluebell in Derry was grand last year. Oakgrove is a great spot. Slightly more upmarket perhaps.
Some great pubs in Longford. Is Valentine's the one across from the Longford Arms? Nice pub

[QUOTE=seand;576170]You can't beat a bar in the ground... obviously the Lilywhite Lounge tops the list! I know these clubs have bars in the ground...Dundalk, Drogs, Mons, Cobh, Bohs, Shels ...any others?

Weren't Longford talking about getting a licence for Flancare last year? Did they get it yet?
Norris's is our pub, but it's a good ten minute walk from the RSC. The Yellow House is a s***hole. We never go there. I suppose it's a bit like Drogheda where Mother's is the main pub, but the Windmill is closer to the ground.
The Horseshoe mightn't be the most glamorous spot, but there's always good banter there. Mooney's in Sligo is deadly.
The Brandywell Bar just because it's so unique :D
Like the brandywell bar myself!
Prematch awayers like, the brian boru (dalyer bar at half t ime and full time), mcdowells, cat and cage, the hibernian, valentines/market bar ( we usually do both).
Absolutely hate the one in waterford - and the horseshoe in cork is the biggest sh!thole I was ever in in my life
Yeah the Squealing Pig is still there...its actually celebrating its 15th Birthday this weekend and all the Monaghan United Players will be in there after the game Saturday nite to enjoy their end of season drinks (after having some and player of the year in the Bagster Lounge at CHP of course!)
The Pig is not only a great place for drinking but the guy that owns it is very good to the club with sponsorship for everything from summer camps to the ladies team. Oh and the bouncers are really nice there too! ;)
For me the best place for drinks pre and post match is Fibbers/Foxes in Galway. The Galway gang will always make u welcome. I also love Mothers when I used to be able to make it to Drogs games, the craic in there was top notch.
The bar at Cobh is quite nice and also like Junction 15 (?) in the 'Fey.
Random fact: Glenavon have FIVE social clubs in their ground.
Now that's impressive.
Always enjoyed the bars in Dalymount (at times probably too much :) ) and was a regular in Kates in its day. Used to like Harloes (sp?) in Sligo, and had a great night in the Oak Grove in Derry as well, although the total silence when two Harps fans walked in was a wee bit scary! Once we told them Sean invited us it was class though.
There's a lot of pubs that Harps fans go to so none of them is really 'the' Harps pub, which is kind of a pity, plus the geographical spread of our support means a lot of people don't drink around Finn Park anyway.
Well he wasnt able to commit to that at the time as he is also the main jersey sponsor of the local rugby club so Mick Cooke secured us the deal with his local and have to say the Steering Wheel and Martin Reape have been fantastic to us too.
I cant rem the name of it but there is a little pub in Cobh that is like a shrine to U2 and its very nice to have a drink in but the clubhouse bar is good. Have a good weekend down their NY coz its a nice spot.
Any recommendations for Kilkenny?
