The FAI is filled with scumbags who are only interested in furthering their own financial interests. Flying first class while the players are in coach. They treat every level of Irish football with the same disregard.
Even Dunphy was playing! It would take Sunderland type investment in at least 4 clubs in the longterm. Bohs have a lot of doh so they could kick-start it. Ronnie Whelans recent comments about Bohs bringing in a lot of East European players makes sense. Celtic, Hearts and numerous other clubs have gone this route. Also a few Brazilian's, Japanese, Chinese or wherever mixed with the local talent. Martin O'Neill said that all players care about is being payed and getting into the team. So if the money is right the top players will come.
While Boh's have the money, and can afford to bring in extra talent - it doesnt mean that the public will bother their arses going to games, and it all comes down to arses on seats. If attendences dont go up, then paying extra money for players becomes completely unsustainable.Quote:

I missed the game as I was travelling home from Kildare County vs. Dundalk. Dundalk won and I missed the fiasco in Cyprus. Two positives for me right there.

Ive just cancelled my accommo for Bratislava and Prague next September. The upside being I can visit Bratislava earlier than expected, and for a lot cheaper.
Result really does take the shine off what could have been some excellent away matches, including Wales of course.

Wouldnt have gone to Germany if that was the case. I will re-book the minute Stan is shown the door, not a moment sooner. Im not paying to watch that crap, and I think we should hit the FAI where it hurts, in the pocket. Vote with your feet.
One major positive: that this happened NOW and not in a year's time.
Thank God we're not deluding ourselves any further that this is working.
I thought at the time that the the late winner we got in Georgia may actually not have been to our benefit. We'd have had little choice but to rebuild wheraes the win made us think we could qualify and so we changed nothing. Of course you always want to win but you know what I'm getting at...
Positive, FAI will stop trying to cut the eL ticket allocation and tickets for Croker will probably go on general sale.
